Hey, so... what happened to the "Russia controls 95% of Lyman" claim that everyone was assuring me was true a couple of months ago? Just wondering 😁

The Russian army’s position along the River Nitrius has deteriorated over the course of August to the point where the majority of Russian forces have withdrawn to the river’s eastern bank. Should this trend continue, the Russian advances that began in February 2025 west of the River Zherebets could be completely reversed. 🇷🇺🇺🇦

The Russian Ministry of Defence issued a statement regarding today's strikes on Ukrainian logistics warehouses and port infrastructure.
In Kyiv Oblast, they claimed to have struck a warehouse owned by Stellar Jet LLC used for storing finished FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missiles and fuel for rocket boosters.
In Odesa, the MoD stated that the Odesa Port was struck, where they claim six storage facilities containing military equipment were targeted.
At least 8 different warehouse facilities have been struck by Russian Geran-4 jet-drones across Kyiv City and Kyiv Oblast today, resulting in several large fires breaking out.
One of these targets (in the Brovary area) is yet to be identified. At least five different warehouses in Boryspil were hit, along with another 2 southwest of Kyiv.
This data does not include some of the warehouses hit during the missile attack yesterday.

🔴Russian Geran-4 kamikaze drones are still being launched from Oroyl 'Tsymbulova' launch site
Because Russia did not launch any Iskander-M ballistic missiles towards Kyiv tonight, and has successfully depleted a large portion of Ukraine's newly delivered Patriot interceptor missiles with modified S-400 missiles last night, there is a high threat of a much larger attack on Kyiv City and Kyiv Oblast taking place during the weekend, with the highest threat being in place for the night after tomorrow.

The Russian Ministry of Defence issued a statement regarding last night's combined missile and drone attack.
In Kyiv City and Kyiv Oblast, they claim to have struck a facility used for assembling drones, including "Hornet" loitering munitions; the largest logistics centre used for storing and distributing FPV drones, ground control stations, and related components; and a logistics centre in the city of Boryspil used for storing components for medium-to-long-range drones.
In the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih, the MoD claims to have targeted two metallurgical plants used for supplying metallurgical products to the Ukrainian military.
In the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast, the MoD announced targeting the Kremenchuk Oil Refinery, which they allege is used to supply fuel to the Ukrainian military and is involved in the transhipment of petroleum products coming from abroad.
In Odesa Oblast, they claim to have struck workshops in the city of Chornomorsk used for assembling drones and producing nitrate for the Ukrainian military; 24 different storage facilities at Chornomorsk and Odesa Ports containing military equipment; infrastructure equipment at Reni Port used for unloading fuel and military cargo; energy facilities used for supplying power to various Ukrainian ports; as well as transport infrastructure facilities used for military purposes.
Large amounts of burned out and destroyed Ukrainian vehicles seen along the highway between Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka, Donetsk Oblast, as a result of extensive Russian FPV drone strikes on logistics.
The anti-drone netting protecting the road has been partially destroyed, exposing it to additional attacks.
The IDF claims to have killed Razek Sahil Suleiman Abu Shahma - the former bodyguard of the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar - in a recent targeted assassination strike on the city of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip. He allegedly took part in the October 7th attacks on Israel.
They also claim to have killed Hazem Mousa - a fighter of Hamas' elite "Nukhba" unit in their Khan Younis Brigade - in a separate targeted assassination strike on Khan Younis. He also allegedly took part in the October 7th attacks on Israel.
According to the IDF, both men were planning attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians, while also trying to rebuild Hamas' military capabilities.
Last night, Russia launched another large-scale, combined missile and drone attack on Ukraine.

Total missiles launched:
~8 RM-48U modified S-400 ballistic missiles
~8 Iskander-M ballistic missiles
~4 Kn-23 ballistic missiles
~2 P-800 Oniks supersonic cruise missiles
~22 missiles in total.
-----------------------
Ukrainian air defence work:
As of the time of writing, it appears Ukrainian air defence was able to shoot down a *minimum* of 7 RM-48U modified S-400s.
-----------------------
The following locations were hit:
Kremenchuk Oil Refinery, Poltava Oblast (49.17168, 33.46524) by Iskander-Ms with cluster warheads.
A (likely) gas-related target near Reshetylivka, Poltava Oblast by Iskander-Ms.
"Lelyaki" 110 kV electrical substation near Pryluky, Chernihiv Oblast (50.58408, 32.65280) by Iskander-Ms.
"AB TECHNOLOGIES" industrial equipment factory in Kyiv by RM-48U modified S-400s.
Yuzhnyi Port in Odesa Oblast by Oniks supersonic cruise missiles (46.61759, 31.00643).
Unknown target in Kryvyi Rih by Kn-23s.
Unknown target(s) in Zaporizhzhia City by Kn-23s and Iskander-Ms.
-----------------------
Keep in mind, the numbers of missiles launched may be slightly higher than what I've listed, as the number of missiles detected is sometimes lower than actual launches. These numbers may be adjusted in the coming hours as more information comes available.
The target hit by a single modified S-400 ballistic missile in Kyiv last night was the "AB TECHNOLOGIES" industrial equipment factory.
This location was previously targeted by Iskander-M ballistic missiles and modified S-400s on June 28 and July 11. The Russian Ministry of Defence has previously claimed that the facility is involved in the production of mid-to-long-range drones.

Correction for Kyiv:
No Iskander-M ballistic missiles were launched to the city. Only modified S-400 ballistic missiles were used.
Most of them were shot down by Patriot interceptors, but I’m still clarifying the exact interception rate. Modified S-400 missiles are much easier to shoot down than Iskander-Ms.
People will actually believe anything today if it affirms their bias, holy shit. We're so fucked.

Footage showing the impact of two Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles equipped with cluster warheads at the Kremenchuk Oil Refinery, Poltava Oblast.

A few hours before this attack, I reported that Russia may carry out a smaller attack on Kyiv aimed at wasting newly-delivered Ukrainian Patriot PAC-3 interceptor missiles, before launching a large-scale attack in the days after.
It appears that this has indeed happened. Russia launched 9 modified S-400 ballistic missiles from Bryansk Oblast to Kyiv. Ukraine launched a total of 9 PAC-3 interceptor missiles - one for each Russian missile, and managed to shoot down 8 of them. One of the S-400s impacted its target.
The reason for the high interception rate is because modified S-400 missiles are much easier to shoot down than Iskander-M ballistic missiles. They also have low accuracy, and sometimes miss their targets.
Therefore, Russia was able to get Ukraine to launch 9 interceptors from their new small package of Patriots that was delivered this week, without having to use a single Iskander-M ballistic missile. Because of this, there is a high threat of a larger-scale Iskander-M and Zircon attack on Kyiv in the coming days, especially this weekend. Ukraine does not currently have sufficient Patriot interceptor stockpiles to counter such an attack, especially after tonight.
At least 26 missiles have been launched by Russia so far, including:
14 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles
10 Kn-23 ballistic missiles
2 Oniks supersonic cruise missiles.
Targets were hit in Kyiv, Odesa Oblast, Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast, Kryvyi Rih, and Zaporizhzhia City. ~12 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles targeted Kyiv in total.
Most/all of the missiles impacted.
