Читать полностью…Would love to see a direct response from the project to this seemingly legitimate, respectful, and sincere critique of the chatbot. Maybe the ASI chatbot is just intended to be proof of concept and so polishing it with every comparable feature was never the intention or plan. But if so, it would be nice to hear this from the company so people aren't wasting their time trying to upload knowledge graphs to no avail. Maybe the project doesn't have the available funds to host your documents on a server so the feature to upload documents as you mention are simply not possible until the project starts generating revenue from other business areas within their ecosystems.
Whatever the reason, it would be nice to hear back from the company with regard to addressing your specific product utilization difficulties..
I can’t comment on the past, but I’ve built and I’m working through a “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs” style model.
I’ve adapted it and applied a marketing lens to understand where we’re up to and what we need to do, in which order (order of priorities isn’t connected to this model).
Hopefully less empty commitments on the public agenda and a lot more follow thru.. and no more primary school 👀

So with some structure, a simple and united approach, we’re going to fly. 💪🏼
I am looking at how we can utilize AI tools (obvious preference for our own where possible) for marketing but we / I have to get some basics done first.
Читать полностью…Agreed and someone else has asked about whether it would be better in other formats for consumption (video, for example).
My position is that I’d like to test that it’s valuable first. At the moment, I’m super time-poor while I get up to speed and do some housekeeping - it can always evolve. 🙂
Thanks @DTaylor a much needed missing ingredient among the recipe for 1st class class community building and marketing
Читать полностью…Adding a bit of personal frustration from my own experience:
I’m currently building a scientific project that integrates with LLMs. Initially, I wanted to do this through ASI:One.
In my opinion, the number one missing feature is the ability to upload ASCII files. Without this, it’s impossible to code efficiently and cleanly within the platform. As a result, I rely on MANUS to generate the initial skeleton of my project, then iterate with ChatGPT by uploading and downloading files repeatedly. I’ve been waiting for this critical feature for months. Many people around me use ChatGPT specifically because it supports file uploads. How can such a basic need be overlooked?
As a side note, my project involves a knowledge graph. I’ve tried several times to work with ASI:One in this context—it simply doesn’t work. It extracts nothing from structured PDFs, while ChatGPT interprets them with no issue.
On the agent side, I do think ASI:One has strong potential. But for my use case, which is code-intensive, the competition currently offers far more suitable solutions. And I truly regret that, because I want ASI to succeed.
I’m placing my hopes in ASI:Create to address these gaps. But it needs to launch soon to benefit from the first-mover advantage—otherwise, the opportunity may be lost.
All this to say:
I don’t think we’re in a position to mock OpenAI in a tweet.
On a positive note, I find ASI:One quite impressive as a chatbot. It keeps evolving, and the frontend looks very professional
Just got home from a long work week and I still have to work this weekend as well. So I'm just sitting down to give my legs a rest and so i feel like typing... here is a too long for ya..
.....with regard to your post, I can maybe offer an analogy. Suppose an aircraft comes in with a pilot discrepancy or an engine not running as it should (incorrect fuel flow, or temp sensor indication, low oil or hydraulic pressure...whatever it may be on that day). - an item essential for safe flight and also requires a somewhat deep knowledge of the various aircraft systems to resolve. I can troubleshoot the problem using a number of methodologies ..simply follow a fault tree per manual or simply narrow it down based on past experience until I find the fault, and then provide the fix/resolve with reference to tech data, of course..... This, many times, involves some deep in the weeds maintenance, and the average customer (passenger) is completely unaware and not in the purview of this under-the-hood work. However, if a pilot comes in with a cosmetic or a non essential furnishing involving the interior of the aircraft, I may be completely clueless as to how to resolve that sort of basic discrepancy. Perhaps a passenger seat is not swivelling correctly, or an armrest is not adjusting, or a galley finishing is chipping, or an overhead reading light became loose or unsecure and requires the removal of some interior furnishings that i haven't removed before. I may have to call upon someone with much, much less technical aircraft systems knowledge than I have in order to resolve various cosmetic interior items so that the passenger is happy. I may surely be able to get into the weeds of technical flight essential systems and make sure the aircraft is operating correctly and is safe for flight, but the obvious, easy items that would piss off a passenger, like some interior items mentioned, and that require fewer qualifications to work on, may not be a type of work that I have experience with - regardless of what my certifications or degree imply they encompass.
So Ben et al may be magnificent AI computer software experts in the most technical of areas at the far reaches of their discipline, but it doesn't always mean they know how to operate Microsoft Paint - that's how i see it anyways. Which is why I do regret not supporting the merger with the paal dudes, who may have been like the aircraft interior furnishing experts who work on maybe less technical, but more front-end customer-facing problems that will piss off customers if not resolved.
But I'm making a lot of assumptions i guess
The basic front-end user experience items for comfortable customer experience is OFTEN under appreciated by the highly technical critical systems folks. This is why large operations/companies most often have production managers, operations managers, and quality managers who are allowed to make suggestions to the CEO, President, VP etc.
And I'm pretty sure Ben, Humayun, and Trent have all been in previous positions such that they know full well the importance of providing the proper level of support to each area of their general operation to ensure the best probability of success - word salad yada yada...
Let's see if we start picking up more steam, soooon
