Radbod famously refused baptism at the last moment when informed that his unbaptized ancestors were in hell. Stating that he would rather dwell in the afterlife with his ancestors and forefathers than with a handful of foreigners, he rejected the new creed to uphold his lineage and ancestral duties. His rejection of foreign rites became a foundational political act, leading to the immediate expulsion of foreign Christian missionaries from Frisian territory to preserve their native customs (customa gentis).
* The Defilers of Sacred Groves (Landnámabók)
In early Iceland and Scandinavia, boundaries surrounding sacred sites (vé) were strictly protected under the legal concept of garth-breach or sacrilege. Early legal assemblies (the Þing) imposed full outlawry (skóggangr) on anyone who shed blood, brought weapons into a sacred grove, or dishonored the landvættir (ancestral land spirits). An outlaw was stripped of all property, forbidden from receiving food or shelter, and could be killed by anyone without legal repercussion.
* The Uppsala Assemblies (11th Century CE)
According to Adam of Bremen's historical accounts, the central assembly (Thing) at Gammel Uppsala in Sweden mandated participation in the national nine-year sacrificial festival (blót). Those who refused to participate in the traditional ancestral rites—or who attempted to withhold required tribute to the temple—were fined, banished, or forcibly compelled by the community to fulfill their obligations to preserve the collective standing of the folk.
* Hjalti Skeggjason (999 CE)
In Njáls saga (ch. 102), Hjalti was convicted of impiety after reciting a verse comparing Freyja to a bitch and Odin to a dog. Likening ancestral deities to dogs (garmr / hundr) was treated as severe ritual defamation (níð) and a breach of the sacred peace (friðr). The chieftain Runólfur Úlfarsson prosecuted the case at the Althing, resulting in Hjalti being sentenced to lesser outlawry (fjorbaugsgarður) and banished from Iceland.

"We don’t christianize Plato, Plato christianizes."

Having recently read four volumes of a prominent Orthodox theologian Pavel Florensky I have expectedly found countless praise for Plato and philosophy as a whole. Despite being pure sewage ideologically hiding behind fancy latin words, it’s a useful read for those interested in platonism being the basis for christian worldview. However I enjoyed reading the author’s brief digressions in which he writes about the folk magic and peasant (i.e. Pagan) belief. Of course from his perspective, those are just misinterpretations of the true nature of the world, but Florensky is not as harsh as most priests and seems to have genuine respect for the common man’s faith.

“So you think there’s a bunch of storm Gods”
Let’s pretend that isn’t a disingenuous way to describe the Gods, sure why not? Is there a monopoly on elements that can be used? Let’s get deeper “Storm God” is a brutal simplification of a divine character. Thor in the eddas has very few elements connecting him with storms besides his name. Also, will you say the myths of Zeus and Thor are the same? No? So how are they the same Gods? Etymology? But Tyr means God but Tyr and Zeus share etymology so are they the same? War Gods? Almost ALL Gods engage in war. Reducing Gods to job titles is SILLY. That’s like saying everyone who works at the post office is literally the same person with no defining personalities. So yeah I don’t think the African “Thunder God” is the same as the Germanic “Thunder God.”

The Paganist
Yet another grifter

The Paganist is an average Pagan channel promoting right-wing ideas which sounds good, but as it turns out the it’s run by an open atheist. Vinnie Sullivan has been around for a while and runs a few channels. Middle aged right wing creators are a dime a dozen and he never stood out. But at some point Vinnie saw Pagans in his chat and realized that there’s an untapped market to explore. Thus The Paganist was born. It’s as bland as his main channel and filled with endless self-reposts. Also he was caught stealing from Pagan Revivalism. So, low-effort grift from the beginning, probably one of many small channels Sallivan created to spread the brand. Also Vinnie has a huge ego considering how often the guy posts his mug, so expect a response to this expose.

Foreign faiths have no authority over ancestral faiths, only the Gods and ancestors of that particular ethno-religion do. And the best way to find out what actual ancestral faith is, is to read the legends of said ancestral faith.

It's really that easy.

PIE is new age christianity

Here’s jewish subversion:

"Greeks, as St. Paul told them, forgot what God had taught them, and, though they were God’s offspring, worshipped idols of wood and stone…For, like all nations who have left anything behind them, beside mere mounds of earth, they believed at first in the One True God who made all heaven and earth. But after a while, like all other nations, they began to worship other gods…Zeus, the Father of gods and men (who was some dim remembrance of the blessed true God)…"
C.Kingsley

Christians (and muslims) have been using the tactic to sell goy judaism as a forgotten primordial tradition. The only difference between this and Proto-Indo-European theory is the number of the gods. PIE tards say there was a few. But they do claim Zeus to be a distant memory of the original Deys Pater misshapen by Greeks into a folkish deity.

Lughnasadh Day (August 1st)- The feast of the god Lugh which was introduced by Lugh to commemorate his foster mother Tailtu. It is one of the four major Celtic festivals and is an agrarian feast in honour of the harvesting of crops. Early records claim the festival was celebrated for 15 days. Christianity took his feast over as Lammas, the feast of the first fruits. The name survives in modern Irish (Lunasa), and Manx (Luanistyn) for the name of the month of August.

Why anti-woke channels are a scam

Whenever you see an anti-woke content creator milking every new movie, series, video game etc and crying about wokeness, just ask yourself where would this guy be if we won the culture war? He’d have no channel. No wokeness to cry about. That’s why they never go all out, don’t promote any solutions. They want to be oppressed because crying about it and chasing trends makes them money. Never trust an e-begger, never support a shill. Also, most of them are brown and/or fat.

The word ‘christ’ comes from a Greek word that means ‘oil, grease,’ but which was used in the Jews’ uncouth dialect of Greek to mean ‘a messiah,’ that is, a man appointed by the Jews’ tribal god to lead his Chosen barbarians to a definitive victory over the civilised peoples, whom they implacably hated. One of the cleverest tricks of the Fathers of the Church in promoting their cult was to give to non-Jews the impression that ‘christ’ was the name of a person, and even to this day many Christians ignorantly believe that their god was a man who was baptised “Jesus Christ.”

The role of the name

In traditional Pagan worldview a name is not a mere combination of sounds and characters. It’s not something you grow into, it’s what you are. In a name is one’s destiny and while you can try to argue that a name is chosen by the parents, the truth is that in a worldview where fate exists and can’t be changed even by the Gods your parents were destined to give you that name. What about people who change their names later in life or get an additional one? Again, if something like this happens it has always been inevitable. If you bear a foreign name don’t worry. Throw it away and embrace your destiny.

Here’s how Florensky describes Plato:

Early apologists called him a Christian before Christ, believing him to have been touched by the grace of God the Word (Logos) and saw in him a kind of prophet in partibus infidelium (the lands of the unbelievers), and in his writings, a foreshadowing of things to come. Meanwhile, contemporary neoplatonists referred to him as nothing less than most holy and divine or divinely inspired. Indeed, his works were for them a kind of sacred, canonical Scripture. You realize, of course, that we are speaking of Plato…You are aware of the undeniable continuity of our spirituality from Plato. By our very name, we acknowledge ourselves as alumni of the Athenian Academy. Naturally, there is nothing demeaning to Christianity in this acknowledgment. After all, weren’t Christians born of pagan parents? So, too, are we the sons of the ancient Prophet of Attica.

The weapon challenge

One of the most ancient and inspiring elements of many tales of old is the weapon challenge. Basically, a hero obtains a weapon if he’s strong enough to get it. Often the challenge is presented by an older relative (usually a parent) or at the very least it used to belong to a relative (usually the father), so there’s an idea of the older generation empowering the younger if the latter is worthy.

Neoplatonism was a major influence on Christian theology throughout Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages in the East, and sometimes in the West as well. In the East, major Greek Fathers like Basil, Gregory of Nyssa and Gregory of Nazianzus were influenced by Platonism and Neoplatonism, but also Stoicism often leading towards asceticism and harsh treatment of the body, for example stylite asceticism. In the West, St. Augustine of Hippo was influenced by the early Neoplatonists Plotinus and Porphyry. Later on, in the East, the works of the Christian writer Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, who was influenced by later Neoplatonists such as Proclus and Damascius, became a critical work on which Greek church fathers based their theology, like Maximus believing it was an original work of Dionysius the Areopagite.
