PIE skepticism, the next big thing
A few days ago a smaller channel on YouTube got, as of today, over 60k views and over 1k subscribers, despite not looking great but having an exposé on the pie perennialist position. This reveals a couple of things:
1. Some of the critiques used in this video have come from yours truly for a few years, most recently in my interview with Pretani Chieftain. It shows they are genuine despite what the nasayers will tell you.
2. The cultural milieu is shifting away from the hypothetical syncretic perennialism of the pie, towards focus on actual ancestral faiths.
3. Content creators will look at the success of such a video and make others to cash in on the attention, snowballing the fall of the pie.
4. Pie perennialism is not fact and definitely not consensus, as the video's companion doc shows.
5. In the comments, even the largest pie proponents can not refute a single point and run away from debate challenges.

I wager that Ogun the God of the West African people resembles the people in some fashion. Thor the Germanic God indeed has pale skin and red hair. These Gods resemble the appearance of the people that follow them.
But if you’re a follower of Monism who thinks God is a part of “The One” you probably wouldn’t care about culture & religion being tied to a distinct people.

There is a very vocal minority of self-professed pagans* (platonists) who have the position:
"Only christians take their religion seriously. You take ancestral religion seriously. ... Therefore youuuu must be a christian."
What's even better is that if you stay authentic to the sources, you are not just any christian, but you're a sola-scriptura protestant christian.
These accusations came out of the platonist discord chats, mainly because they're losing the arguments for authenticity left-&-right. Those of us who return to ancestral faith want to believe like our ancestors did; who are almost entirely farmers who took their beliefs seriously. The idea they didn't is literally a christian narrative.
Ironically, thinking that pre-axial european faiths are primitive, & that the Gods & their associated legends weren't real is the most christian mindset one can have. If someone thinks ancestral faiths are "dumb" without x, y or z, they are self-admitted fake pagans & their words shouldn't be taken seriously.
