So there is a channel on telegram called "Paganism Explored", and the chat for the channel has nothing to do with Paganism. They have a bot where they have a dick measuring contest, and other degenerate conversations. It's stuff like this that makes it hard for newcomers to take Paganism seriously

Proto-Indo-European New Age and christianity

PIE perennial movement is one of many New Age pseudo-religions. What makes it more harmful than most is insistence on being Pagan thus redefining the term. With anti-fundamentalist approach to myth and use of ancient atheistic teachings (e.g. platonism) perennialists are creating a new global religion with superficial elements of Paganism such as names of Pagan Gods as well as the use of symbols like swastika and runes. Their attempt to replace old localized religions with a new, global one is just what christians did. Trying to populate the new religion preachers localized Jesus which led to many different flavors of one messiah. Perennialists use the same tactic to spread their New Age creed by presenting Gods as archetypes such as Sky Father and Thunderer. Christians split one universal Jesus, PIE theory combines many local Gods. The result is the same.

The organization hosting the ceremony was not a truly Pagan one. Supreme Council of Ethnic Hellenes does not represent Greek pre-christian religion. They are neither ethnically, nor racially exclusive and let homosexuals in. The FAQ section of their site also reveals that the organization does not believe in myth and sees Gods as abstractions with no traditional characteristics i.e. race, ethnicity and sex. Thus they shamelessly contradict their own mythical tradition and practices.
