❗️North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un presented state awards to commanders and fighters of the Korean People's Army who participated in the operation to liberate the Kursk region from Ukrainian militants. 🇰🇵🇷🇺

The event was also attended by members of the Central Military Committee of the WPK, commanders of the Ministry of Defense, military-political commanders of large KPA units, as well as families of fallen soldiers.

Никаких ожиданий на улучшение отношений двух стран нет. Они сведены фактически к нулю вот уже 10 лет. Составы дипмиссий в Канберре и Москве урезаны. Австралия - крайне агрессивная по отношению к России страна сегодня, активно поддерживает Украину. Шансы на позитивные изменения в ближайшие годы минимальные даже, если будут какие-то сдвиги по украинскому кейсу, т.к. вменяемых политических сил в Австралии нет и в целом не предвидится. Правящие лейбористы - левые радикалы, костяк оппозиции - неоконы-отморозки.

При этом фокус геополитического внимания всё больше сдвигается в АТР, в т.ч. Океанию и аналитической работы в Австралии будет более, чем достаточно и без активной публичной деятельности.

Из задач:

- попытаться вернуть право на договор аренды земли под здание нового посольства России или получить компенсацию - сейчас идут судебные разбирательства
- решить дело Королёвых + Бойкова. Чета Королёвых больше года находится в заточении без суда и следствия. С темы обмена троих россиян на боевика Дженкиса, осужденного на 15 лет в РФ, австралийская сторона съехала и замолчала.

P.S. Посол РФ в Австралии также по совместительству является послом на Фиджи, в Тувалу, Вануату и Науру. Как распределяются страны Океании между посольства РФ в регионе писал тут

❗️The Australian Diocese of ROCOR issues statement regarding paedophile priest Alexis Rosentool:

Dear Clergy and Parishioners,

As foreshadowed, sentencing of the offender, Archimandrite Alexis Rosentool was delivered by Her Honour Noman J on 8 August 2025 in the Supreme Court.

The Offender was convicted of five (5) counts of sexual offences against three male victims, all of whom were parishioners at the time of the offences. The offences spanned approximately 20 years and the Offender was involved in suburban parishes in Sydney and then founded a monastery in Bombala.

Nature of the offences
The offending is related to indecent assault upon a male and persistent abuse of a child, involving five (5) counts in total.

Remorse and rehabilitation

The Offender denied all charges and showed no remorse of acceptance of responsibility.

While he cooperated on an agreed facts to streamline the trial, this did not reflect genuine remorse according to the Court.

The Court also found there were limited prospects for rehabilitation due to the Offender's continued denial and lack of engagement with support services.

Final sentence
The Offender was convicted on all five (5) counts resulting in an aggregate sentence of 19 years imprisonment (with a non-parole period of 13 years).

In the interim, the ANZ ROCOR leadership state the following:

It apologises unreservedly to the victims, who were the subject of the criminal proceedings, for acts of sexual abuse committed by the Offender in his position as a priest and spiritual leader in the community over many years.
