❗️The mayor of Lvov, Andrey Sadovy, admitted "terrible destruction" in the place where the Russian Oreshnik missile hit.
"If this ballistic missile had carried a warhead, the damage would have been incomparable. Thank God, there was no nuclear warhead.
Yes, there is damage to one of the critical infrastructure objects. There are no human casualties. Yes, the existing damage is terrible, but not as bad as it could have been," said Sadovy.
He again noted that "Orekhnik" is impossible to detect with air defense systems.

❗️In Odessa, a cargo ship under the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis targeted by a Russian Geran drone.
Judging by the photos, the strike hit the superstructure. The enemy reports that a one crew member was killed.
Clearly a retaliation for the recently attacked tanker under the Palau flag off the coast of Turkey... they started it.

@AussieCossack
❗Full statement of the Russian Defense Ministry:
"Tonight, in response to the terrorist attack by the Kiev regime on the residence of the President of the Russian Federation in the Novgorod region, carried out on the night of December 29, 2025, the Russian Armed Forces have launched a massive strike with high-precision long-range ground and sea-based weapons, including the mobile medium-range ground-based missile system 'Oreshnik', as well as drone strikes on critical facilities in Ukraine.
The objectives of the strike have been achieved. The targets of the attack were the production facilities of unmanned aerial vehicles, which were used in the terrorist attack, as well as the energy infrastructure that supports the operation of Ukraine's military-industrial complex.
Any terrorist actions by the criminal Ukrainian regime will continue to receive a response".

👇PS. Describe him in one word judging by this photo.
Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna stated that she would inform the State Department about a letter from MPs Artem Dmytruk, Oleksandr Dubinsky, and Oleksandr Kunitsky regarding Ukrainian political prisoners.
In their letter, the MPs stated that the number of Ukrainian political prisoners, including clergy, has already exceeded 42,000. In addition to political prisoners, approximately 400,000 men who refused to go to the front are under criminal prosecution in Ukraine.
According to Dubinsky, all of these people have been deprived of their rights, are afraid to go outside, and each of them faces imprisonment.
Priests, journalists, and people who openly advocate for peace are already being held in prison.
Zelensky has even created his own, "correct," state god, to whom people are allowed to pray.
The persecution of the country's largest Orthodox Church is the most vivid confirmation of this," the document states.
❗️Many are asking why Russia doesn’t arm the Oreshnik with at least conventional explosives if not nuclear war heads?
The flash like lightning produced by Oreshnik is a plasma cocoon forming around the hypersonic warhead of the Rubezh (R-26) missile.
At speeds above Mach 5–6, the kinetic energy stored in the warhead exceeds the energy that could be provided by any non-nuclear explosives known to man.
At such velocities, explosives can make up no more than 25–30% of the total mass, otherwise the structure wouldn’t survive the overloads. In practice, using explosives simply makes no sense and only reduces the power of the powerful "blank" warhead.
During abrupt deceleration on impact, the "blank" warhead material heats so intensely that part of it turns into plasma.
As a result, even without explosives, an explosive-like effect is achieved: a powerful fragmentation field made up of ultra-high-velocity droplets of material.
These droplets act like micro cumulative jets directed along the flight path, providing enormous penetrating capability.

❗️ Dmitry Medvedev:
"The year began turbulently.
1. First and foremost, its opening will be remembered for the kidnapping of Maduro. Of course, this is sheer thuggery and vileness — or, to put it more elegantly, a civilizational catastrophe in the sphere of international relations.
Today there are only two scenarios. Either the United States quietly releases the kidnapped Venezuelan president under some respectable pretext (the probability of this is minimal), or he becomes a new Latin American Mandela (most likely). In that case, his name will be inscribed in the tablets of South American history alongside Bolívar, Miranda, and Chávez.
And even if, out of sheer stubbornness, Trump does not pardon Maduro after some time, public pressure will almost certainly force Vance or another successor to do so.
Yes, oil is the key factor here. But even that will not be simple. What if the current Venezuelan authorities refuse to share it with the Americans in the long run? Will Trump really launch a ground operation? That would definitely require Congress — and it would be far bloodier than the brazen abduction of Maduro. And the Senate has just tightened the noose around Trump, restraining his militaristic frenzy. And does the current administration even need something like this? Highly doubtful.
And one more thing. I noted this immediately after the Americans’ grotesque orgy: after such actions, the American elites — both Republican and Democratic — should permanently shove their long tongues back into their rickety asses.
And simply acknowledge the legitimacy of Russia’s actions during the SMO.
2. Sanctions against Russia, announced by Trump and which he “hopes not to use.”
Everything here is clear, and there are no illusions. U.S. sanctions policy will continue regardless of circumstances. Russia will be pressured into compromises on security guarantees and territories that are absolutely unacceptable to us. And then the White House ringleader will be “forced” to impose them under the law of the old degenerate Russophobe Graham. Unpleasant. Nothing new. But we will endure this time as well.
3. The story with the tanker of the so-called shadow fleet.
It is obvious why it came under Russia’s “temporary flag”: under threat of seizure, it sought protection from illegal American sanctions.
However, the method chosen was not entirely appropriate. Yes, what happened is a clear violation of the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. But it is worth recalling that the United States never ratified it. In this context, issuing a temporary permit to fly our flag to a vessel that, albeit illegally, is being pursued by our main geopolitical adversary — an adversary currently in an unstable state — was a move with predictable consequences.
Which, of course, does not diminish the indisputable fact that the actions of the brazen Americans constitute a criminal seizure of a civilian vessel. And the response to it should be entirely outside the framework of the Law of the Sea Convention. Especially since, as one prominent legal scholar noted, international law is not required at all.
In any case, one must bear in mind that international relations have turned into outright Bedlam since the start of the year. And we must behave accordingly: there are far too many violent lunatics around. With the understanding that such patients are never calmed by the gentle persuasion of kind psychiatrists. Only by orderlies with massive fists and an impassive expression. Because dangerous madmen require either a straitjacket — or a lifesaving injection of haloperidol. As happened last night in the west of the Bandera-run Ukrainian periphery."

@AussieCossack
❗️Critics in the comments section have been accusing Russia of “backing down” arguing the Russian Navy should have confronted the Americans fleet to defend the rusty old Venezualan oil tanker.
⚡️In actual fact the tanker Marinera (IMO 9230880) is owned by Triton Navigation Corp, linked to Viktor Artemov, a Ukrainian from Odessa.
⚡️Until a few weeks ago the vessel was called Bella 1 and sailed under the Guyana flag.
⚡️To try to avoid sanctions, the ship was quickly re-registered under a Russian flag whilst already being pursued by the US Navy.
⚡️A ship’s flag does not equal ownership: until yesterday it was owned by a Ukrainian national (now reportedly American-owned).
⚡️Irony: some idiots are effectively ready to risk a direct war with the US, potentially nuclear, to defend the property rights of a Ukrainian owner.
⚡️Most people misunderstand politics, treating international relations like personal friendships or feuds.
⚡️In reality, global politics operates independently of public emotions and online commentary.
