❗️Irkutsk: Cossacks and atamans took an oath of allegiance to the Fatherland, the Cossack brotherhood, and the Orthodox faith, reports the Irkutsk Cossack Army.

Among them were many participants of the special military operation.

❗️Over 42,000 Cossacks have taken part in the Special Military Operation, 11 of whom were awarded the title Hero of Russia.

This was announced to TASS by Viktor Vodolatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots.

11 Cossacks from the SMO have been awarded the title of Hero of Russia, and over 100 others have received the Order of Courage.

Vodolatsky also added that approximately 18,000 Cossacks currently serve in volunteer units and within the Russian Ministry of Defense and continue to carry out missions in the SMO zone.
