❗️Canada and Australia will be stronger negotiating together with superpowers including Donald Trump’s America, acting as “strategic cousins” rather than competitors, Mark Carney has told the Australian federal parliament.

🇨🇦🇦🇺In a speech to the Lowy Institute in Sydney on Wednesday night, Carney softened his support for US and Israeli strikes on Iran. He said while he welcomed the end of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s regime, he did not believe the attacks on Iran were legal, and that they represent “another example of the failure of the international order.”

Carney said the US and Israeli strikes appeared to be unlawful in that they were not made with UN Security Council support, or in the face of imminent threat.

❗️Russian citizen Simeon Aussie Cossack Boikov has now spent 1,175 days sheltering from Australian authorities from inside the Russian Consulate General in Sydney.

He is effectively living in isolation and no longer appears in public. Cut off from normal society, he has been deprived of a normal social life and direct contact with the outside world. Today as a rare exception permission was made for a welfare visit by NSW Parliament member John Ruddick.

Ruddick noted that when a person is separated from regular human interaction and new experiences for such a long time, the mind inevitably begins to reconstruct reality from a very limited stream of information.

Yet Simeon refuses to give up. He remains resolute and unbroken with a strict daily prison style physical training regime. Believing in Russia’s victory, he continues to work on the information front in support of Russia's Special Military Operation.
