❗️Iran launched two intermediate range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia.
A US warship fired an SM-3 interceptor at the second missile. However, it is unclear whether the interception succeeded.
The strikes are significant as Diego Garcia is located about 3,800 to 4,000 kilometres from Iran. This means Tehran’s missiles have a greater range than officially acknowledged.

❗️Celebration of the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God "The Sign"
Today, the Church glorifies one of the greatest miraculous icons of our Fatherland - the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God "The Sign".
The history of this holy relic is inextricably linked with the tragic and heroic pages of Russian life. For the first time, the image was revealed in the 13th century among burned forests and destroyed villages - on the land devastated by the hordes of Batu Khan. This very discovery became a visible sign that the Queen of Heaven does not abandon her flock in moments of extreme disaster. At the moment when a hunter lifted the icon from the ground, a pure spring gushed out from under the roots - as a symbol of inexhaustible hope and rebirth.
Throughout the centuries, this image has been the Odigitria (Guide) of the Russian army and people. Before it, prayers were offered during the Time of Troubles, and it overshadowed the Russian troops in the Patriotic War of 1812. And even when split in half by the swords of heretics, the icon miraculously rejoined, revealing the image of the indestructibility of the Church and the state.
Today, the Kursk land is once again at the forefront of trials. Again, the enemy is trying to sow death and destruction in Russian cities and villages. But we firmly know: where human forces reach their limit, the Power of God comes into action.
🙏Since the Ukrainian nazi invasion of Kursk chevrons with the Kursk-Root have been worn by tens of thousands of Russian troops in the SMO.

❗️Australia will be importing more petrol and diesel made from Russian oil due to the war in the Middle East, with commonwealth officials privately warning that the global fuel market may take months to normalise.
Australian sanctions on Russian crude remain in place, barring the nation’s two remaining refiners from importing the oil. But Australian fuel importers can buy refined petrol, diesel and aviation fuel derived from Russian crude.
Energy Minister Chris Bowen said the government did not want to see Russia benefit from the war in the Middle East, but The Australian understands there will not be limits on securing petrol from Asian suppliers using Russian crude oil.
Ukraine’s ambassador to Australia, Vasyl Myroshnychenko, said if Australia imported more fuel derived from Russian oil, it should consider making a contribution to Ukraine’s energy fund.
Australian Institute of Petroleum chief executive Malcolm Roberts said there was “a lot of uncommitted Russian crude accessible in our region” that could bolster refined fuel imports.
