Выход проекта запланирован к годовщине гибели отца Михали на Донбассе- 6 ноября 2026 года.
Справка: «Десантный батюшка» погиб при исполнении своего пастырского долга в зоне СВО 6 ноября 2022 г, но успел вырастить целое поколение военных священников в современной России, а также шестерых собственных детей. Ранее (летом 2025 года) состоялись съемки исторических реконструкций, воссоздающих эпизоды служения отца Михаила Васильева в качестве военного священника на Донбассе, в Сирии, в Чеченской Республике, в Югославии. Протоиерей Михаил Васильев стал первым военным священником в постсоветской России, прошел около 30 «горячих точек», в его биографии отразилась вся современная военная история страны.

Проект осуществляется при поддержке Президентского фонда  Культурных инициатив.
