Disable adding bots with a bot should work too

Bot Development

01 October 2017 01:26

Yeah, had that happened to my group too.
Disabling "users can add other users" solves it

I was boring and developed a bot to cheat that game :)

I dunno, take a look man, read some docs, get your hands dirty, and if you get stuck somewhere, ask, I (and some other people) will gladly help you if you won't waste our time

that one has almost no state
the only state it has is caching one request

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

and don't overthink which one is the best, the api is the same

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

(I haven't bailed out of the conversation,. I'm thinking)

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

I don't think it'd be easier, but it's your call, I won't force you to live your life how I think is right

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

I have a lot of things ahead of me

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

/start > Send it a theme > send variable(s) > /done and it sends back the theme

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

You can read the official docs too

Bot Development

29 September 2017 21:50

Bot Development

01 October 2017 01:26

Bot Development

01 October 2017 01:26

And this is my experiment from year ago, using node-telegram-bot-api (which I recommend against, I recommend Telegraf nowadays), this one has some state: https://bitbucket.org/GingerPlusPlus/node-repl-bot

Bot Development

I dunno
I can toss you 2 of my simple bots to give you an overview on how it looks like

This is my recent code, using Telebot: https://github.com/GingerPlusPlus/xkcd-search-bot
I strived to make it as simple as possible
it's mainly inline... but it has few commands too

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

I have never used it, but you may also take a look at https://github.com/SerjoPepper/bot-brother

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

it's basically an editor, right? Which means, you gotta have some state...

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

I like using the website but I would like to have a bot b/c it's easier to use

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

did you ever buy a domain

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

I think browser is a better interface for theme editor

Bot Development

29 September 2017 22:28

also, could you explain in plain English what the bot would be doing? Maybe I'd suggest you an example bot to take a look how it looks like

Bot Development

29 September 2017 21:50

Android theme editor? Not so clear what it does; not working for me when I edit and click download..

Bot Development
