Many points in "Zelensky's" "victory plan" hint at a more direct Western intervention.

🇰🇵🇰🇷🇺🇸 Washington-provoked Korea tensions a ruse to justify US military presence – analyst

The latest exchange of bellicose rhetoric between Pyongyang and Seoul is the result of “another US-backed provocation geared to escalate tensions on the Korean Peninsula,” geopolitical analyst and former US Marine Brian Berletic told Sputnik.
 
It is also a ruse to maintain “a justification for the long-standing US military presence on the peninsula not only to continuously threaten peace there, but to also allow the US military to continue threatening nearby China,” he said.
 
North Korea put its army "on standby to open fire" after South Korean drones flew over its capital, prompting South Korea's National Security Director Shin Won-sik to warn it would be "suicidal" for North Korea to "start a war."
 

“The drones allegedly dropping propaganda over the capital of North Korea is a continuation of a US State Department-funded project called ‘thumb drives for freedom,’ conducted by the New York-based Human Rights Foundation,” Berletic said.

 
Earlier this year the US State Department supported efforts to spread propaganda using balloons over North Korea, Berletic noted, and using drones with longer ranges and better accuracy would be the next logical step.
 
The soaring tensions demonstrate “how the US is driving some of the most dangerous tensions and potential conflicts on Earth – not only in Ukraine and across the Middle East, but in East Asia as well, including on the Korean Peninsula,” he argued.
 
The analyst recalled Washington’s hysterial reaction to the “benign Chinese weather balloon” that flew over the continental US in February 2023, when jet fighters were scrambled to shoot it down and confrontational rhetoric was aimed at Beijing “to justify a more aggressive policy toward China.”
 

“With this in mind, North Korea’s reaction seems to fit into the ‘norms’ the US itself has established," Berletic stressed.

 
Pyongyang, despite its rhetoric, deserves praise for displaying “infinite restraint in response to serial US provocations including US state-sponsored sedition aimed at destabilizing and overthrowing the North Korean government,” the analyst said.

▪️1 battery has between 6-9 launchers for a maximum of 72 missiles;

▪️ at 2 missiles per incoming target, 1 battery at full strength can be used against 36 incoming targets;

▪️It is unlikely 1 battery (together with Israel's existing air defenses) will be enough to prevent a large scale missile barrage from inflicting heavy damage;

▪️Successive waves of missiles will not only exhaust both Israeli and US interceptors, it will leave the US depleted for years to come;

More on US THAAD anti-ballistic missile systems reportedly going to Israel...

▪️This is not the first time the US has deployed THAAD to Israel - it was reportedly deployed in 2019 part of a training exercise to make future deployments faster and more effective;

▪️The US has only 7 batteries - each containing at least 6-9 launchers, supported by fire control and communications stations, and a radar group;

▪️Construction of an 8th battery was announced in 2022 but was not expected to be complete until at least 2025, illustrating the very long lead times involved;

▪️Each THAAD launcher holds 8 missiles at the ready with up to 48-72 missiles in total per battery - this means that all 7 US batteries, firing 2 missiles per incoming round to maximize the probability of interception could attempt to intercept between 168-252 incoming targets;

▪️Because only about 800 THAAD missiles have ever been made - even if every single missile is still available for use (which they are not) and depending on how many launchers each battery has (between 6-9) and if EVERY battery was deployed to Israel, the US could defend against 1-2 Iranian missile barrages like in early October before exhausting its stockpiles;

Like many other US missile systems, production of THAAD missiles is low. Produced from 2008 to present, Lockheed Martin has produced 800 missiles, approximately 50 a year.

It is likely not enough launchers exist to even launch the quantity of missiles required to defend against the type of missile barrage Iran launched in early October which easily overwhelmed Israel's existing anti-ballistic missile systems.

But even if they did, the 180 missiles Iran reportedly launched, requiring up to 2 interceptors each, would have exhausted nearly half of all THAAD missiles ever produced.

The US is unprepared for the scale of war it is provoking around the globe.

▪️Russia reserves a wide variety of options to manage escalation and maintain leverage versus the US-NATO - knowing that disrupting Black Sea shipping was one of these reserved options, the collective West exploited Russia's decision to allow Black Sea shipping to build its Black Sea "victory" narrative;

It’s exactly how strong they want it, not so reckless that it forces the U.S to pretend like Israel did something wrong and just strong enough that it crosses the threshold while they can claim the attack was “more then Washington wanted.”

Plausible deniability but I bet you that after the attack happens the administration will personally make a statement congratulating Bibi and Israel on “self defense”.

At this point my mind has been made up. One side is endlessly pressing for a regional war and I believe Iran should back down temporarily if they can possibly do so after this next hit. Accept the “humiliation” while maintaining resistance and focus on Nuclear development. Get guarantees from Russia (days away) and China and acquire a nuclear deterrence. After that Iran can come back with a new power balance in the region. I’m sure this is part of the reason Israel is acting so desperately now.

Today marks the memorial day of Thailand's King Rama 9.

🇹🇭 King Rama 9 spent his life encouraging Thai people to become self-sufficient as individuals and as a nation, building real, tangible, useful wealth in a sustainable way, and being practical in our daily lives.

When I first arrived in Thailand in my early 20s I was a typical American, unrealistic, superficial, arrogant, and very impractical. However, I was surrounded by Thai people who patiently taught me the lessons King Rama 9 promoted - and its was these lessons that compelled me to learn a real trade and dedicate my life to practical pursuits.
