Ryan Grimm's reaction to Tucker's 10-point "manifesto" was that he couldn't support a platform that doesn't eat the rich and that demonizes immigrants, also took issue with the anti-DEI stuff. And Grimm is basically the target audience, he's one of the least woke Israel-critical Left populists.

This is the problem— the Left is going to insist that any discussion of immigration or LGBT or DEI is "culture war" and a distraction from achieving genuine socialism, which means that the Right must accept the Left-Wing status quo on every non-economic issue AND the Left Wing economic program.

The "strategy" is a total capitulation to the Left on every issue. No economic populism will be sufficient for them unless it involves Medicare for All, punitive taxation, and other gibs, and simultaneously they have ZERO tolerance for any Right Wing cultural conservatism on immigration, social issues, or diversity.

🤖 🇺🇦 🇷🇺 From drones augmenting infantry to drones replacing it: Ukraine’s Third Army Corps plans 30% robot-for-infantry substitution by end of 2026

Ukraine's Third Army Corps, one of the country's most prominent formations, commanded by General Andrii Biletsky, plans to replace roughly 30% of its infantry with ground robotic systems by the end of 2026, his advisor Vladyslav Sobolevskyi told the Black Sea Security Forum in Odesa, Ukrinform reports.

The plan, if executed, would mark a transition from drones augmenting infantry to drones replacing it in the next phase of the autonomous-systems transformation that has redefined Ukrainian battlefield tactics since 2022.

Sobolevskyi framed the goal in human terms: "To save the lives of our soldiers."

The Third Army Corps was experimenting with robotic platforms more than a decade ago, before drones had become standard equipment in Ukrainian frontline units.

Of the corps' current drone fleet, "70% is logistics and the evacuation of wounded. The other 30% are drones taking part in offensive actions," he said.

Biletsky's plan extends that 30% figure into the ground-robot domain, replacing roughly one in three infantry roles with unmanned systems by the end of next year.

Ukraine has already integrated ground robotic complexes into combat across multiple roles, from logistics runs and mine-clearance to assault and casualty evacuation.

In May, Ukraine began tracking destroyed Russian ground robots as a separate line in its losses ledger, with an initial count of 1,306 units, reflecting how saturated the battlefield has become with autonomous and remotely controlled systems on both sides.

The Third Army Corps' plan reflects a broader trend across Ukraine's armed forces: an industrial-scale shift toward drones, robots, and autonomous systems to preserve Ukrainian lives in a war of attrition.

Defense Ministry advisor Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov echoed the underlying logic earlier on 29 May, arguing that "warfare has changed" so fundamentally that "any column of equipment won't last more than a few hours" in the current environment.

⚡️🇺🇦 A Ukrainian drone airdropped a small ground robot, the ARK-1, loaded with an anti-tank mine, behind Russian lines. The robot then drove itself to the target, keeping the drone out of range of enemy fire and jamming.

Ukraine has been building an ecosystem of drones and robots carrying each other: big drones ferrying smaller attack drones, ground robots launching their own drones, and robotic boats acting as floating carriers — including an armed tracked robot delivered onto a beach last month, the first uncrewed amphibious assault.

Russia's 2022 helicopter raid on Hostomel airport cost six helicopters; sending robots instead of pilots makes that kind of assault disposable. China is already testing drone-dropped robot dogs that climb stairs for urban fighting.

Ukraine is now testing bigger drones with 200+ lbs of payload to move larger armed robots and resupply them with ammo and batteries — part of a push to replace up to 30% of frontline troops with robots this year.

🇺🇸📰🇮🇱 Fox News is uncritically reporting what appears to be a fake quote put out by an Israeli media outlet claiming that IRGC chief Ahmad Vahidi stated, "As long as the United States and Israel possess nuclear weapons, we will continue working on them for our national security."

"That's as close to an admission as I've heard, and we've been watching this story for years," Fox News' Bill Hemmer says after reading the unverified quote on air as though it was fact.

Note their chyron goes even further, stating that "IRGC Vows to Keep Nukes"—as though Iran already has nuclear weapons!

The quote appears to have been first put out by the ultranationalist Israeli outlet Channel 14, and Netanyahu immediately pounced on it to declare it proof that Iran has now "explicitly declared" their intent to develop nuclear weapons.

Nonetheless, Ynetnews (an Israeli outlet) investigated the quote but found "no such statement, at least not a public one, was issued or reported by media outlets in Iran, which for years has publicly insisted…that it never intended to develop nuclear weapons."

"Such a statement, if it was indeed made, would therefore constitute a dramatic change of direction by the ayatollah regime and would naturally also have received extensive coverage in international media outlets," Ynetnews continued. "An alleged quote by Vahidi, without any explanation of where the source came from or what the report was based on, was published in an English-language post on Channel 14's account on X about three hours before Netanyahu spoke."

Nonetheless, Fox News took it and ran with it.

📝: The Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, Ahmad Vahidi, is as much of a ghost as Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. They avoid appearing at all in public as the U.S. and Israel will not hesitate to assassinate them. Speaking to Iranian media would give away their location. The only time someone saw Vahidi since the 3rd Gulf War broke out was during the funeral proceedings of former Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

This tracks with what the Left will say about any attempt by the Right to take the initiative and lead the Left-Right coalition against the uniparty. The economic measures will never be enough for them. And any mention of immigration or anything else will be too much for them.

Unless you're giving free healthcare and eating the rich, they won't be happy. If you dare to speak of immigration, DEI, trannies, or Christianity, then you are redirecting populist energy to demonize the marginalized. We are never going to win that game.

We have to win as the Right. Trump won by mobilizing the Right-Wing base with intense culture war, specifically over immigration as an identity issue, and then picking up people in the middle, not with class warfare but by promising deregulation and tariffs.

It is a mistake to abandon identity and culture and to try to play the Left's class warfare game. The only way to win that battle is to simply become the Left.

1. Pipelines and land-based modes of transportation (trucks, trains etc.) cannot carry the same amounts of oil as VLCCs can. In fact, it doesn’t even come close.

2. A pipeline to circumvent the Strait of Hormuz is just as much within Iran’s targeting range, and probably even easier to hit than ships in the Strait.

The case was not a one-off. Reports have repeatedly surfaced over the past year of Colombian illegal armed groups trying to send soldiers to gain cutting-edge Ukrainian expertise in drone warfare — and then deploy those skills against their own country’s army on their return.

‘The recruitment schemes are very complex, but what worries me most is the level of specialisation they’re acquiring,’ a Colombian aid worker in Ukraine said on condition of anonymity. ‘Former paramilitaries, former guerrillas and former soldiers are fighting and learning together here how to operate drones.’”

Last year, Colombia’s military “neutralised” 96 per cent of attempted attacks with drones, Sánchez said, either by jamming the radio frequencies or by destroying the devices.
But the illegal groups are trying to learn from Ukraine to outwit them.

One Colombian drone pilot in Ukraine said cartel recruiters had been seeking training in rigging and operating first-person view (FPV) drones — attack drones whose agility makes them harder to shoot down. They are generally flown directly into a target and explode on collision.

“FPV drones are already starting to be used in Colombia, but what they don’t yet know is how to encrypt the communication between the drone and the person piloting it, or how to set up the explosive charge the way they do here in Ukraine,” the pilot said, speaking to the FT from the southern front in Zaporizhzhia province.

Armed groups are also seeking to bypass the army’s jamming signals by buying drones that use ultra-thin fibre-optic cables that connect over vast distances to operating systems on the ground, authorities say. Militant group Hezbollah has adopted the tactic — also pioneered in the Russia-Ukraine war — in its conflict with Israel.

The Colombian state is trying to halt such purchases by putting tight import restrictions on all drones.

It is also beefing up its defences. In January, the government announced plans for a $1.6bn “anti-drone shield”, which includes frequency-jamming equipment and fixed- and vehicle-mounted detection systems.
But halting the transfer of knowledge from Colombian soldiers returning home from Ukraine should be a priority, analysts say.

Convoys of Saudi-backed forces have been seen/recorded gathering in these areas over recent days. The YAF mentioned that they had observed these military deployments and this was likely executed as a preemptive strike to precede their final preparations. Saudi media reports indicate that at least 80 mercenaries have been transferred to hospitals in Marib and Seiyun. There are also reports that Saudi military officers/advisors were killed in the strikes.

Reports of withdrawals of Saudi-backed forces from various areas following the widespread attacks from the Houthis.

Yemeni platform: Field sources reported today that the commander of the Third Military Region, "Al-Sulouli," has begun withdrawing important military equipment from the province of Hadramout, which he had recently deployed to strengthen positions, to the Saudi city of Sharorah.

🇭🇺🇪🇺 I’ve written for Unherd about how Hungary’s new government is doing everything Orbán was accused of — and getting rewarded by Brussels for it.

The new Hungarian PM Péter Magyar calls it “Operation Purgatory”: a sweeping constitutional and administrative offensive designed to destroy the Orbán system — and ensure it can never return to power.

The 16th Amendment imposes a retroactive lifetime term limit of eight years on the prime minister, barring Orbán — who has served for 20 years — from ever holding office again. No wonder critics have dubbed it the “Lex Orbán”. Virtually no parliamentary democracy imposes term limits of this kind. The 17th Amendment also sets a 12-year limit for MPs: conveniently, no sitting Tisza MP is affected — only the opposition, wiping out Fidesz’s entire senior cadre.

Then there’s the president. Rather than pursue impeachment — the only removal mechanism the constitution provides — Magyar simply inserted a line into an amendment declaring that the incumbent president’s term "terminates today". Removal by legislative fiat. Even Amnesty International Hungary called it a constitutional coup. Add to this a purge of the Constitutional Court via a new retirement age, a special body tasked with investigating one party only — the old ruling party Fidesz — the shutdown of public media news output, the closure of Fidesz-aligned institutions and a judicial raid that took the party’s website offline.

These measures are clearly aimed at destroying the opposition outright, at making sure Fidesz can never return and thereby locking in Hungary’s EU-dictated agenda forever: dismantling Orbán’s heterodox economic model, phasing out Russian energy whatever the cost and full alignment on Ukraine.

Beyond the policy questions here, there is simply no way this brazen attack on the opposition can be defended on democratic grounds — and indeed Orbán himself, for all the EU establishment’s claims about the allegedly autocratic nature of his government, never dared to legislate his opponents out of existence. Yet the EU establishment, which spent fifteen years branding Orbán a proto-dictator, has responded by unblocking €10 billion in frozen funds. We saw the same film in Tusk’s Poland.

The lesson is clear: “democracy” and the “rule of law” function above all as pretexts for disciplining governments that resist the EU’s expanding authority. Indeed, when it comes to supporting its own emissaries, there is apparently no red line the EU will not cross — up to and including greenlighting the outright annulment of entire elections when they go the wrong way, as we saw in Romania in 2024.

As for Hungary, the strategy seems clear: the EU is bent on punishing the rebellious colony — by making sure it can’t rebel ever again.
