🇮🇷 The Iranian Parliament appointed Mehrdad Akhlaghi Ketabchi as defense minister, replacing Majid Ebn-e-Reza who served as acting-defense minister from March to October, replacing Aziz Nasirzadeh, who was assassinated by Israel.

Mehrdad Akhlaghi Ketabchi is one of the most competent Iranian rocket scientists alive having worked on the powerful Sejjil two staged solid fuel intermediate range ballistic missile (IRBM) successfully used against Israel and the Zolfaghar family of short range ballistic missiles (SRBMs).

He was a close collaborator of former Brigadier General of the IRGC, Hassan Tehrani Mogghamedam, who created the IRGC's Aerospace Force and fathered Iran's missile program and military doctrine regarding the use of missiles and missile cities.

Unlike most previous defense ministers, Akhlagi is not a military commander nor an IRGC member. He worked for decades in various Iranian industrial enterprises related to Iran's missile program and has been under U.N. and U.S. sanctions since 2007 and 2008 respectively.

Over the last few weeks, both Russian and Ukrainian forces continued their assault operations, with Russian forces focusing primarily on deep infiltrations behind Ukrainian lines.

In the east, Russian forces deepened their zone of infiltration within the village of Raiskoe (southern one) and began infiltrating east through the fields towards the southwestern outskirts of Druzhkovka in smaller numbers. They also managed to infiltrate a couple new groups of 2-3 soldiers into the Staroraiskoe area, operating near the mine complex.

To the west, the Russians continued attacking Ukrainian positions in the Novonikolaevka area and began deeper infiltrations behind their lines. Several small groups of 2-3 DRGs infiltrated northwest to Andreevka, before panning out to the Novoyavlenka, Starovarvarovka, and Roganskoe areas, putting Ukrainian drone operator and artillery positions at risk.

To the southwest, Ukrainian forces cleared some of the forested gullies south of Gruzkoe and Vesyoloe from earlier Russian infiltrations, and continued infiltrating south towards the Kucherov Yar area. Russian forces continued attacking towards Kucherov Yar and are attempting to advance in the area of the clay mines. From here, Russian infiltrator and DRG groups began infiltrating northwest past Zolotoi Kolodez into the Petrovka, Blagodaty, Vesyolaya Gora, Novotroitskoe, and Lidino areas, putting additional Ukrainian drone operator and artillery positions at risk.

Further southwest, fighting continues for the railway line southwest of Rubezhnoe, while sporadic Russian infiltrations continue to occur in the Belozyorskoe, Mirovoe, and Vesyoloe Pole areas.

🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 The U.S. military fired roughly 19 years’ worth of Patriot interceptor purchases in about seven months of fighting against Iran.

CSIS estimates the U.S. had about 2,200–2,330 modern Patriot interceptors before the war and used around 1,060–1,500 of them, leaving roughly a third of its pre-war stockpile.

Before the war, the U.S. bought an average of only about 225 interceptors a year, while Lockheed Martin currently produces around 600–650 annually for the U.S. and its allies.

CSIS projects it will take at least three years to rebuild pre-war inventories, warning of a “window of vulnerability” in any conflict with China.

They are currently pressing down both main roads towards the junction in the strategic transportation hub of Bir Basha. With the current territorial gains, Ansarallah has also established effective control over all of Jabal Han, which overlooks the city from the west.

Over the last few weeks, Russian forces significantly intensified their offensive operations in the Dobropolye direction following a brief operational pause, and have entered the city from multiple directions.

In the northeast, Russian forces continued their infiltrations along both banks of the Byk River, entering the eastern part of Annovka and the northeastern streets of Dobropolye north of the Terykon. Individual Russian assault groups have once again begun infiltrating southwest towards the city centre, attempting to take up positions along the railway line just east of the high-rise blocks. Russian DRGs continue to sporadically infiltrate the Bokovoe area and nearby treelines near the city of Belozyorskoe. Ukrainian forces are conducting clearing operations, and are attempting to infiltrate additional groups of soldiers into the forests east of Hannivka in order to cut off the Russian infiltration route into the city.

To the south, Russian forces intensified their infiltrations up the the eastern edge of Dobropolye, and managed to re-enter the territory of the mine, where heavy fighting is underway. Individual infiltration groups are attempting to move deeper towards the southern suburbs to cut off Ukrainian positions in the southeastern part of the city. Infiltrations are also being intensified along the railway line into the southeastern private sector of Dobropolye.

Further south, after establishing full control over the city of Belitskoye, the Russians cleared the terykons northwest of Belitskoye and the treelines to the north, and took up positions just east of the Belitska Mine where heavy fighting continues. Further infiltrations into Chernigovka (Krasnoyarskoe) are also underway. Ukrainian forces are struggling to reinforce their strongpoints south of Dobropolye due to repeated Russian infiltrations into the city, which is allowing the Russians to advance further in this crucial area near Belitskoye.

To the southwest, Russian forces cleared the former mine complex southwest of Belitskoye and established a foothold in the southern and eastern parts of Svetloye. Heavy fighting is now underway for the western streets of Svitle and the neighbouring town of Vodyanskoe.

To the west, the Russians cleared the strongpoints on the northern outskirts of Shevchenko and began infiltrating throughout Matyashevo and the fields east of Novogrishino. In response, Ukraine withdrew their forces north of the river and carried out an airstrike on a dam in Shevchenko to flood the river downstream. Russian forces subsequently captured Matyashevo, the treelines to the west and southwest, and gained a foothold in the eastern part of Novogrishino. Infiltrations are now being intensified further west along the southern bank of this river into the southern street of Novofyodorovka.

From the direction of Matyashevo Russian soldiers are moving north through the gap in the multi-layered defensive line into the village of Dobropolye where they gained a foothold in the southern streets, and are panning out to the west, north, and northeast, capturing positions in the forest plantations directly south of Dobropolye city From here they are entering the southwestern industrial zone and adjacent high-rise buildings, where heavy fighting is ongoing with Ukrainian forces. More consistent infiltrations are taking place in the fields southwest of Dobropolye city with DRGs now operating on the approaches to Raksha and in the southeastern part of Svyatogorovka. Simultaneously,Russian soldiers are launching assaults on Ukrainian positions north of the reservoir near Nadiya, as well as in the fields north of Krasnopodolye.

To the southwest, the Russians cleared a number of treelines north of Vasilevka and Mirnoe, and began expanding their zone of infiltrating further northwest, supporting operations in the Novofyodorovka and Novogrishino areas. Additionally, after capturing the rest of Mirnoe, they are attempting to enter the neighbouring village of Gulevo.
