This is ridiculous. Alina Habba was made an interim U.S. attorney back in March. She was formally nominated a month ago. But she hasn't even received a hearing, let alone the up-or-down vote that a president's nominees deserve.
There are literally more than 260 federal positions where a Trump nominee is still waiting for a vote. That's nearly three times the 94 people who have actually been confirmed. Many had their hearings months ago, but have now been kept waiting for a final vote for no reason other than obstructionism and laziness.
This is unacceptable. We have a Republican Senate. We are only guaranteed to hold the White House for a four-year window. The MOST important role of a Republican Senate is to confirm a Republican president's nominees. Until this administration has its undersecretaries, U.S. attorneys, ambassadors, and judges, it cannot execute the many crucial agenda items it has for making America great again.
Cancel the August recess. Work weekends. Change the rules if you must. But get the nominees confirmed. Period.

I think of this Scott Galloway clip often because Gen Z confirms his basic thesis to me directly every single day. I hear about how frustrated and angry young people are because they feel like buying a home and starting a family is out of reach for them.
President Trump made historic gains with young voters because they trust him to set things right and oversee a rebirth of the American Dream. We are making massive progress, but we are in a race against the clock.
If we fail, we will see the rise of more and more Mamdanis in elected office pushing class and race warfare. But if we deliver, and I believe we can, we will save America for the next generation, and beyond.
We need 500,000 more electricians in the next couple of years, but there remains a stigma on the blue-collar trades we desperately need. Let's make shop class great again.

Rep. Ogles tells DOE Sec. McMahon that "this conduct violates [President Trump's] Executive Order 14173 (Combating Radical Ideologies in Higher Education), contravenes your Department's March 27 guidance, and may also run afoul of Title VI of Civil Rights Act of 1964.
