🛜 Residents of Nevada Town Score Temporary Win in Battle Against Verizon 5G Towers
Residents of Minden, Nevada, have temporarily stopped Verizon from putting up two 5G cell towers in their community near where children learn and play. But the battle isn’t over, they say.
Verizon wants to erect two 80-foot cell towers in Minden, about 20 miles from Lake Tahoe and home to roughly 3,000 residents.
“They are relentless,” Casey Rodgers, a Minden resident and leader of the grassroots group, “Minden for Safe Tech,” told The Defender. “One of their proposed towers is by a high school next to a dance studio and a daycare, and across the street from a neighborhood. The other is next to a park, across the street from an elementary school and neighborhood.”
Both towers would be on land owned by the town’s fire department. The towers would loom “directly above our bravest men and women in uniform, our firefighters and paramedics,” Rodgers said.
With help from Children’s Health Defense’s (CHD) Stop 5G initiative, Rodgers and other Minden residents have been pushing back against Verizon since learning of the plans in January 2024.

⚠️ EPA Bans Toxic Chemical Used in Dry Cleaning, Glue, Stain Removers
The new rule will ban the manufacture and processing of trichloroethylene (TCE) for most products within one year, allowing a longer phaseout period for TCE use in aircraft, medical devices and some other applications.
TCE is a known human carcinogen and is also linked to birth defects and liver and kidney disease, as well as a surge in global Parkinson’s disease diagnoses.
“With no doubt that these chemicals are deadly, there is no doubt that this final rule will save lives – especially our children’s lives – around the country,” Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) said in a statement.

🚨 ‘First-of-its-kind’ Lawsuit Alleges Addictive Ultraproccessed Foods Caused Teen’s Illnesses
A teenager from Warrington, Pennsylvania, sued 11 Big Food manufacturers, alleging ultraprocessed foods (UPFs), engineered to be as addictive as cigarettes, caused him to develop fatty liver disease, Type 2 diabetes and other health problems.
In a 148-page lawsuit, filed Tuesday in the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia County, Bryce Martinez, 18, alleges he’s the victim of a “predatory profiteering” scheme by Big Food that seeks to develop and market food to children that is harmful to health, without warning the public of the foods’ dangers.
The lawsuit states that the diseases Martinez was diagnosed with “did not exist in children” before the development of ultraprocessed foods. The lawsuit presents evidence from scientific studies finding that childhood diseases such as obesity skyrocketed with the advent and wide availability of such foods.
Calley Means, co-author of “Good Energy: The Surprising Connection Between Metabolism and Limitless Health,” told The Defender, “More than 15% of teens have fatty liver disease and 38% have prediabetes. Almost 50% are overweight or obese.”
He added:
“This happened almost overnight because the processed food industry paid the media and regulators to promote deliberate lies about the impact of their ingredients on our health.
“We don’t have a free market when it comes to food — we have a rigged market. Litigation like this is a great tool to rebalance the harm processed food makers have inflicted on American children.”

🚨 FDA Advisers Bullish on RSV Shots for Kids, Even as Safety Signals Shut Down Moderna Trials
Vaccine makers are developing 26 different RSV vaccines or monoclonal antibodies for all age groups, as they vie for a slice of the rapidly expanding market. Discussions during Thursday’s FDA vaccine advisory committee focused on the “unmet need” for more RSV shots for infants and toddlers and how to move them forward.
FDA asked the committee members to discuss existing evidence on whether infants and toddlers could eventually get sequential administration of RSV monoclonal antibodies followed by RSV vaccines.

🚨 Moderna Shuts Down mRNA RSV Vaccine Trial in Babies After Shots Linked to Severe Side Effects, FDA Document Reveals

🚨 Study Links Ozempic to Blindness, Adding to Growing List of Side Effects
Diabetes patients who took Ozempic were more than twice as likely to develop an eye condition that causes vision loss than patients using a different diabetes drug, according to a new study.
The study linked semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy — which in addition to treating diabetes are widely used to lose weight — to non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).
The study, published last week on a preprint server, is undergoing peer review.

‘A Complete Mockery’: John Campbell Weighs in on Possible Fauci Pardon
Medical commentator John Campbell, Ph.D., told viewers of his YouTube show this week that the Biden administration’s rumored plan to issue a preemptive pardon to Dr. Anthony Fauci is “concerning.”
Campbell said a pardon would help cover up evidence of a possible COVID-19 lab leak and COVID-19 vaccine injuries — including evidence detailed in the final report released last week by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Campbell said a pardon would also help conceal evidence outlined in “The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health,” by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., founder and former chairman of Children’s Health Defense.

Alessandra Takyrbasheva was an “unvaccinated’ six-year-old when she was awarded entry to the gifted and talented program in a New York City elementary school.

🚨 ‘Uncharted Territories’: Biologist Warns of Unknown Risks of COVID Vaccine DNA Contamination
According to Kevin McKernan (founder of Medicinal Genomics), the presence of DNA in the cells can pose health risks, because it “could integrate into the genome and cause disruption of the genome … or it could disrupt other genes that are related to cancer.”
McKernan referred to a recent paper that found DNA integration “in 99% of patients,” with “thousands of integrations per genome.” The paper found that 10% of those patients ultimately got cancer.
McKernan said vaccine manufacturers did not disclose the presence of this DNA in the shots. “It was something that they hid from the regulators, particularly the SV40 elements” — referring to simian virus 40, the DNA contaminant McKernan discovered in the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines last year.
According to McKernan, SV40 “is a nuclear targeting sequence used in gene therapy” that interferes with cell function. Despite claims by regulators and pharmaceutical companies that SV40 is non-functional, McKernan said there’s “clear evidence that it’s functional and it’s in the vaccines at billions of copies per dose.”
He said regulators “seem to be running cover for Pharma.”

🐄 Drugging Cows to Reduce Methane Emissions? Scientists Question Safety, Need
Bovaer, a cow feed additive designed to reduce methane emissions, is facing public pushback despite industry assurances the additive is “safe and effective” and also key to reducing greenhouse emissions from dairy cows.
The feed additive works by suppressing the enzyme in a cow’s rumen that forms methane.
“The vast majority of these so-called miracle products being introduced are for CAFO animal production. The issue isn’t the number of ruminant animals, but rather the manner in which the animals are raised. The CAFO production environment of beef and dairy animals is unnatural for these species of livestock. ⚠️ High-fructose Corn Syrup is Everywhere — Scientists Say It May Make Cancerous Tumors Grow Faster
Eating fructose boosts the growth of cancerous tumors — by two-fold or greater in some cases — without changing body weight, fasting glucose or fasting insulin levels, according to a peer-reviewed study published Dec. 4 in Nature.
The authors of the study showed that dietary fructose promotes cancer tumor growth in mice that have melanoma, breast cancer and cervical cancer.
According to the U.S. FDA, high-fructose corn syrup is derived from corn starch. Corn starch is naturally made of glucose, but added enzymes convert some of the glucose to fructose — which tastes sweeter.
Gary Patti, Ph.D. — a professor of genetics and medicine at Washington University, the senior director for the university’s Center for Metabolomics and Isotope Tracing, and the study’s corresponding author — told The Defender:
“We put animals with cancer on a high-fructose diet and then compared the progression of the disease with animals who were on standard diets. We also fed fructose to cancer cells in a dish.
“We were surprised that dietary fructose drove tumor growth in the animals but that the same cells could not use it as a nutrient when isolated in a dish.”
This led Patti and his co-authors to discover that fructose does not feed tumor growth directly. “Instead, the liver transforms fructose into other nutrients that then drive tumor growth indirectly,” Patti said.
The researchers were also surprised to see how dramatic an impact fructose had on tumors. “In some cases,” Patti said in a press release, “the growth rate of the tumors accelerated by two-fold or even higher … Eating a lot of fructose was clearly very bad for the progression of these tumors.”
The study’s findings raise questions about the role of diet in mitigating cancer. “The idea that you can tackle cancer with diet is intriguing,” said Patti.

⚠️ Common Food Additive May Damage Small Intestine and Promote Type 2 Diabetes
A clinical study published Nov. 26 in BMC Medicine builds on growing evidence that carrageenan, a common additive in ultraprocessed foods, may damage the lining of the small intestine and the body’s ability to process blood sugar (insulin resistance).
These harms can potentially lead to serious chronic conditions such as Crohn’s disease and increase the risk of Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease — especially in people with higher body weight (BMI), the researchers say.
