The Harri, a Germanic tribe briefly mentioned by Tacitus, were said to be the most powerful of the Lugian group of states. They dominated large parts of Germania in the region of present day Poland and eastern Germany.
Tacitus writes in Germania:

As for the Harii, quite apart from their strength, which exceeds that of the other tribes I have just listed, they pander to their innate savagery by skill and timing: with black shields and painted bodies, they choose dark nights to fight, and by means of terror and shadow of a ghostly army they cause panic, since no enemy can bear a sight so unexpected and hellish; in every battle the eyes are the first to be conquered.

THE BARDIC TRADITION:

Since long before the written word the Celtic world had the Bard, the story-teller. Every Celtic village and tribe had a bard, who would preserve the lore of their people and community. As the families gather around the communal fire, participate in a feast or gather in tribal council there too was the local bard; telling epic stories of the Gods and the Ancestors which inspired the minds and hearts of all.

The responsibility of the Bard was significant, for in their words came the history of our people, of ages past or yesterday, and of the immortal Gods.

Today we are without these great men. The position of the Bard has been replaced by machines, the government, corporate and political propagandists who seek to twist and manipulate our pasts to obtain power, which in turn they will wield maliciously against us. It is important we take a moment to remember that within us still remains the Bardic tradition. And we have the power to give it life once more.

This sacrifice marks the first of many at our new homestead. This goat was given to Thor to bless my marriage on the coming moon, and to hallow the land where we will grow our family. For me, this was a very heartfelt ceremony because of what it meant — a new beginning.

I owe everything I have to the Gods and their many blessings. Because of this, I will continue to serve them by devoting myself to their worship and to teaching others. It is here on Thor’s Hill, and in this hallowed holt I will raise a temple to Him and keep His customs.

Thank you to my folk for their constant support. Thank you to @barbarian_rites for the phenomenal photography.

It’s funny, even normies are more accurate in their immediate perceptions of Paganism.
“Wow, you actually think Thor is real and worship him?”
Well the Pagan should say yes, but the Platonist/Metaphorical pagan would say “No no, I think they are esoteric personified forces of big chungus!”
& then pat themselves on the back for having such a nuanced view of theology that normies couldn’t possibly grasp.

The REAL pagan moral outlook source (for Germanic pagans at least) would be the Hávamál, “Sayings of the High One” it’s various examples of suggested actions in situations by Odin.

I’ve engaged with Platonists and they say the myths are humorous plays meant to be played on a stage. This is what we are dealing with here, they think the religion is a joke and they psyop themselves into following it in a weird way even though they are atheists because they have no actual belief in it. It really is a mental illness because what is the point of that. We observed in history strong piety amongst the Polytheistic people, the Celts were fearless warriors due to their belief in reincarnation; dying now is of no consequence to them. What sort of strong convictions does someone who has to twist their own mind to follow something have? That’s mental asylum talk.

The Abrahamic world is: I resisted all temptations of the evil natural world, only through my ultimate submission to Christ/Allah/Yahweh, I reached the best afterlife.

The Pagan One is: Even against insurmountable odds, my mortal heroism shined through, divine characters either helped or harmed me depending in my quest but the indomitable human spirit lead me here.

There's a reason why the American wild-west has had such great appeal. Not just in the states, but even abroad. I'm almost certain that it taps deep into ancient blood memory.

It also harkens to ancestral morality. I.e. it was a time when if our folk were attacked, we struck back hard and didn't turn the other cheek.

"A wayfarer should not walk unarmed,
But have his weapons to hand:
He knows not when he may need a spear,
Or what menace meet on the road."
Odin - Havamal - 38

That ancestral wisdom was needed in the wild-west, in antiquity and even today. Divine, timeless and practical wisdom indeed

Do film & game studios make anything original anymore? All I see is remakes & reboots and they suck so it’s pissing on the grave of the originals. They seem to have no more creativity.

You can see nature spirits everywhere if you just pay attention.

Look in the bark and roots and see their faces. Tube your ears to the rustling leaves and hear their music. Take a deep inhale and you might just catch a hint of pipe smoke. It's all around you, you don't have to even be deep in the forest to feel it.

It's enough to just be present, to alter your own consciousness so that the plane of time on which you exist overlaps with their own.

The Ten Commandments against a Pagan Perspective:

1. Already validating Pagan Gods and showing that the Abrahamic God is very jealous.
2. Another anti-Pagan sentiment as it’s heavy on idols, Catholics seemingly break this one.
3. The Abrahamic God will get very mad if you say his name.
4. The original Jewish sabbath is Saturday to commemorate the Seventh day in creation. Sunday is used for Christ’s resurrection. Most days of week are named after Pagan Gods.
5. Agreeable, nothing wrong here.
6. Depending on the circumstance, it would be completely justified.
7. Punishable in many ancient Pagan societies.
8. Ditto.
9. Ditto.
10. Jewish views on it are it deals with envy and plotting on others. Which is ironic.

Overall, it’s a general basic moral code, nothing special but funny anti-Pagan sentiment is the first on the list. Also the Nine Noble Virtues some pagans follow as the Pagan Commandments is complete modern bs.

This is very general overall but;
Christianity/Gnosticism teaches you that you are a victim of the world and you are born unclean and must resist the evils of the world by submitting.
Paganism teaches you that you are an active participant of the world able to carve out your path through iron will.

Are you born an unclean victim? Or are you born as someone able to live in cohesion with all the world’s forces?
