The Crypto Market Is Quietly Preparing for Its Next Rally
“When the proportion of Bitcoin held for more than 18 months across the entire network rises and then starts to decline, a strong rally usually follows.” – Read More

📊 The recovery math nobody’s talking about
• 2015: bear market 400 days → recovery 700 days
• 2018: bear market 360 days → recovery 700 days
• 2022: bear market 380 days → recovery 469 days
The pattern: recovery to the last all-time high has always taken roughly 2x longer than the fall into the bear market.
Right now we’re only ~40% of the way through that ratio.

Bitcoin’s listed miners are walking away. The hashrate isn’t.
IREN, Core Scientific, Cipher, TeraWulf and Bitfarms have announced $50B+ in AI and HPC leases. Their BTC output fell 47% year-on-year, from 13,263 to 7,075 BTC.
Yet the network has added ~105 EH/s since its August 6 low and now sits 8.8% below its all-time high.
Private, sovereign and non-US operators are filling the gap, while MARA, Riot and CleanSpark keep buying machines and take the share.

🎙️ New episode of Unbiased is live
CryptoVizArt (on-chain analyst, QFI Labs) joins Julio Moreno and Ben Sizelove to break down a regime-based framework for reading Bitcoin's market cycle:
• The six market regimes — bear market, capitulation, repair, advance, breakout, euphoria
• Why this cycle's 50% drawdown was shallower than the last three — and why that doesn't shorten the recovery
• The historical rule: recovery to all-time high always takes longer than the fall
• The market cap vs. realized cap "ignition, washout, plateau" pattern
• Mapping resistance with long-term holder supply quantiles
• Short-term MVRV as a reliable bottom/support indicator

Bitcoin is down 7% from its recent highs 📉
U.S. Government BTC transfers sparked the pullback, but elevated unrealized profits had already left the market vulnerable.
Government wallets moved 17,468 BTC ($1.44B) since Oct 6
• Oct 6: 569 BTC ($48.6M)
• Oct 7: 4,632 BTC ($385.8M)
• Oct 8: 12,267 BTC ($1.01B)
The remaining balance is 174,481 BTC.
The transfers were the catalyst, not the cause. When holders sit on large gains, even minor shocks can trigger profit-taking.
Short-term holders are selling
They sent 45.6K BTC to exchanges in 24 hours. Of that, 29.1K BTC moved at a loss, the largest loss-side exchange flow since June’s pre-rally consolidation.
Key level: $74.6K (STH Realized Price)
Holding above it keeps the early bull-market structure intact. Losing it raises the risk of a deeper correction.

Bitcoin holders are cashing in.
Profit-taking hit a 2026 high as Bitcoin rallied to $87.4K. The bull market remains intact, but signs of fatigue are building:
• Traders’ unrealized profit margins reached 33%, the highest since December 2024.
• Holders realized 25.7K BTC in profits on September 22—the biggest day this year.
• Altcoin exchange deposits surged as spot demand contracted and futures demand growth slowed.
Key support levels: $80K → $71K → $67K.

Analysts haven’t been this bullish on Bitcoin since August 2025.
• 84% of 164 analysts are now bullish, up from 37% in July.
• That’s more than at the same stage of the 2023 bull market, after half the price gain.
• It’s a genuine shift: 47 tracked analysts flipped from bear to bull, and only 5 went the other way.
• Macro desks moved first, going from 6% to 94% bullish. On-chain analysts, the largest group, are now 79% bullish.

Bitcoin miners have stopped selling.
No extreme miner outflows since Aug 21, the day BTC hit $76K and miners flipped from “extremely underpaid” to “fairly paid.”
