Per coniugare sottigliezza e furia, tenerezza e attacco, voragini della filosofia e vette della religione, paradossi della cultura e imperativi di un patriottismo fondamentale, sceglie l’ascesi e il lavoro. Trump confidently declared in an interview over the weekend that “We’ll get Greenland. Yeah, 100%”, adding that there’s a “good possibility that we could do it without military force … I don’t take anything off the table.” That prompted the Danish island territory’s new Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen to respond as follows: “President Trump says that the United States is getting Greenland. Let me be clear: the United States won’t get that. We do not belong to anyone else. We determine our own future.”
The larger context concerns the intensifying competition over the Arctic as melting ice opens up new trade routes and opportunities to extract the region’s enormous resource wealth, which includes fossil fuels and rare earth minerals, the latter of which Greenland is thought by some to have a lot of. American commercial vessels can already sail the nearby waters just like its companies can invest in the island’s resource industry, however, while the US has also had a base there for decades in the far north.

In the present brief article, Alain de Benoist sets forth a basic definition of “Fascism,” challenging by implication the unacceptable generalizations of this term by certain Liberal and Leftist scholars today. Benoist also makes it clear that Fascism is a time-bound phenomenon which arose in very specific circumstances, and is therefore not a metahistorical idea (as some pretend). This understanding allows one to differentiate it from other forms of Right-wing thought (whether we speak of Traditionalism, Revolutionary Conservatism, Identitarianism, or others) and also to recognize the necessity of doing away with the simplistic and outdated struggle of “Fascism” versus “anti-Fascism.”
New Right Multipolarity
Michael Kumpmann presents Constantin von Hoffmeister’s book MULTIPOLARITY! as a well-structured introduction to the geopolitical and cultural ideas surrounding Alexander Dugin’s vision of multipolarity, drawing on thinkers like Martin Heidegger, Alain de Benoist, and Guillaume Faye — although it remains grounded in the European New Right rather than fully transcending Left and Right as Dugin’s ideal suggests.
