As for the multi-node scenario, it is inherently intertwined with vote trading and the rule of one token with 30 votes. If a single entity holds a large amount of EOS yet refuses to engage in vote trading, it will naturally forfeit its right to run network nodes. In other words, the system effectively penalizes those who neither trade votes nor set up multiple nodes. It’s quite regrettable.
What should have been implemented from the start is allowing individual node operators to self-stake their tokens, with each staked token granting 30 units of voting power. At its core, rule design exists to guide individual participants toward rational, ecosystem-aligned behavior. The original EOSIO voting system essentially assumed bad actors would prevail by default: it contained no hardcoded penalties for conduct that ought to be prohibited, nor did any centralized authority step in during the network’s early days to establish foundational community norms and ethical conventions.
There is no denying that multi-node setups are problematic, just as vote trading is undesirable. Yet while people criticize Hufi’s intention to deploy multiple nodes, who will rectify the existing reality of single entities controlling multiple block producers across the network today? An entity only needs to claim it is not a single individual actor—and who has both the willingness and the capability to investigate and hold them accountable? It is utterly absurd to condemn cannabis use in a place where methamphetamine goes entirely unpunished.

This protocol, whatever you kids call it these days, is not and never was BFT. Running two bps under ‘one entity’ fucks with the math about the same as paid bp’s paying for votes. Which translates to, it breaks everything. The whole og premise relied on identities of bp’s being truly known and parties that cared much more about securing the network than mining the inflation.

If we view a blockchain network as a rule-of-law state, it becomes easy to understand a simple reality: there will always be individuals trying to break the rules for or not for profit. Crime rates, the rule-of-law framework, and social norm/consensus are intertwined in a self-reinforcing spiral.
Back in 2018, EOS had a so-called constitution that prohibited vote-buying, alongside basic arbitration mechanisms like ECAF. Yet such rules inherently require strong authoritative intervention—and ECAF simply lacked that authority. The only party naturally capable of exercising robust intervention was Block.one. But they were preoccupied with laundering the four billion US dollars they had raised, and had zero incentive to engage in genuine network governance.
By 2019, a User Agreement was introduced that removed the clause banning vote trading. It’s rather regrettable, but even this User Agreement was largely ignored by the vast majority of users—most people never even knew it existed in the first place.

Good day Everyone.
I am pleased to report the successful delivery of the HuFi Solar Charge Station prize to the winner in Lanzai Town, Bauchi State.
Upon arrival, I guided the winner through setup, operation, and basic diagnostics to ensure independent management. I also shared advice on generating value from the unit in alignment with the HuFi mission.
We toured the HuFi Clinic with @jerrydib , a well-equipped facility with experienced staff the first of its kind in the area. Patient feedback was positive, reflecting meaningful impact. Community is good with many locals embracing the HuFi vision.
The experience deeply inspired my friend and me. Witnessing Bauchi's progress strengthened our commitment to contribute meaningfully to HuFi and replicate these successes in our own community.

@MrHu_Fi Where are the ones who kept saying this technology had potential? Do developers no longer care that their future is being stolen right in front of them? The ENF sold 1.3M EOS and bailed without looking back. If we stay silent in the face of this looting, it means this community has already given up and we’re just spectators at our own funeral.
