🎓 Read the lesson. Do not “study” it. Don’t try to memorize it. Just read it a couple of times and review new words. Use a dictionary to translate difficult words, if necessary.
✳️ Lemon Dog’s Lucky Day - Part 1
⚜️ There is a dog. This dog loves to eat anything with lemons. As a matter of fact he only eats food that is made from lemons. His mother is a bulldog and she raised him vegetarian. His father is a sheepdog. He is supposed to protect the sheep but instead he eats them. He is nutty as a fruitcake!
⚜️ It turns out that when Lemon Dog was a puppy he only ate food made from pumpkin. His favorite was vegan cream of pumpkin popsicles. As far as making the popsicles vegan, his mother made them with soy milk.
⚜️ Lemon Dog wants to throw a party. He decides to stick with making everything from lemons. He really wants to make lemon soup, lemon sandwiches, lemon salad, lemon cake, and lemon pie. He needs to buy 36,000 lemons to feed his friends. He knows that they will love his party as long as all the food is made from lemons!
⚜️ He finds his keys and gets into his car… to be continued in Part 2!!!

vegan: eats plants. No animal products such as meat, fish, flesh, eggs, milk or honey.
cream of: food or soup made with cream
popsicles: frozen juice, type of desert or treat
as far as: with regard to, to the extent or degree of something
soy milk: a type of milk made from soy beans
throw a party: have a party, give a party
stick with: to continue doing something, to not quit something
as long as: provided that, on condition that

1️⃣ In one's heart of hearts: in one's deepest feelings or thoughts.
👈 ته دل آدم.
2️⃣ To be someone's heart's desire: used about the thing or person that someone wants more than anything else.
👈 کسی و یا چیزی که خواسته قلبی شما باشه.
3️⃣ To not have the heart to do something: to not be able or willing to do something which could hurt someone else.
👈 جرات انجام کاری رو نداشتن، دل انجام کاری رو نداشتن.
4️⃣ To take heart from something: to feel more positive about something, especially when you thought that you had no chance of achieving something.
👈 از بابت چیزی امیدوار شدن، روحیه گرفتن.
5️⃣ To have someone's best interests at heart: to want someone to be happy and successful even though your actions may not show this.

1️⃣ To touch base with someone: to talk to someone in order to find out how they are or what they think about something.
👈 با کسی یه گپی زدن و حال و احوالی پرسیدن.
2️⃣ Just between you and me: as a secret or private matter that nobody else should know about.
👈 بین خودمون باشه.
3️⃣ To get wind of someting: to hear about something secret or private.
👈 از چیزی بو بردن.
4️⃣ To be in the loop: to have the special knowledge or power that belongs to a particular group of people.
👈 در جریان چیزی قرار داشتن، از یه موضوع باخبر بودن.
5️⃣ To let someone in on something: to tell someone about a secret or about something that only a few people know about
👈 کسی رو در جریان چیزی گذاشتن، یه مطلب محرمانه رو به کسی گفتن.
6️⃣ To beat about/around: to avoid saying something directly
👈 حاشیه نرفتن و رک با کسی حرفت رو زدن.
7️⃣ To be in touch with someone: to have regular communication with someone by telephone, letter, etc.
👈 با کسی در ارتباط بودن.
