Following recent reports that 🇩🇪Germany's governing parties had refused to provide possible additional military aid amounting to €4.5 billion, BILD has now published a government document revealing that the Ministry of Finance has cut a total of €10.6 billion in planned military aid for 2026 and 2027.

The German MoD originally planned with a total of ~€15.85 billion for 2026 and ~€12.8 billion for 2027. In the end, it can currently only plan with €9 billion per year. As a result, contracts planned for 2026 and due in 2027 had to be partially cancelled or adjusted in terms of contract volume. Small note: The same already happened in 2024, by the way.
