Russian occupiers attack bus with drone in Kherson suburb, two killed and 16 injured
On the morning of August 9, Russian forces struck a bus with drones in a suburb of Kherson, killing two men aged about 50 and 70 and injuring 16 others.
Among the injured are 10 women and 6 men aged 23 to 83. Six people were hospitalized, three underwent surgery, and one of the seriously wounded was evacuated to a neighboring region with an open head injury. Four others were hospitalized with fractures and shrapnel wounds. Seven sustained concussions and are being treated as outpatients after receiving medical care, according to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

Hey it’s Ukrainian bill nye the Bandera science guy.
Uranium is an abundant element and cheap, there are uranium deposits in Ukraine.
However 99% of natural uranium is U238 isotope which is not fissionable, while only 1% is the fissile U235 isotope used in the Hiroshima bomb.
Enrichment to 90% is difficult and costly but I’m going to show you an alternative way to get fissile material.
Depleted uranium 238 is abundant and cheap, when bombarded with neutrons (nuclear power plants produce many neutrons) Uranium 238 absorbs a neutron (think of neutrons as a positive proton and a negative electron combined into a single particle a neutron)
Uranium 238 absorbs a neutron forming U239 which is unstable and beta- decays (neutron forms a proton and a beta particle creating a new element moving up the periodic table)
U239 beta decays into neptunium 239 which beta decays into the stabile fissile Plutonium 239 the same thing that was used in Nagasaki.
Ukraine has abundant U238 and has nuclear power plants able to produce massive amounts of neutrons and great scientists.
Elements are easier to separate than isotopes.
So maybe it’s better to make fissile plutonium than enrich uranium.
Ukraine needs to start making fissile plutonium and for this it wouldn’t need centrifuges like for enriching uranium.
Ukraine needs a plutonium 239 stockpile so that when needed they already have all the materials and knowledge to make nukes fast if needed.
