FC Internazionale Milano v FC Bayern München - UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Quarter Final Second Leg Photo by Kevin Voigt/Getty Images Will the Bayern munich star jump to the United States? According to a piece from Sports Illustrated journalist Ben Steiner, these are the five MLS clubs with the best chance to sign Bayern Munich legend Thomas Müller this summer: LAFCSan Diego FCChicago Fire FCFC CincinnatiNew York Red BullsMüller has already rejected an offer from FC Cincinnati (along with Serie A side Fiorentina), so the list has already been cut down. Let’s be honest — none of these are great options for Müller at this stage of his career, but some offer more distinct advantages than others. For the weather, you would be hard-pressed to find a better spot than San Diego. For exposure, marketing, and endorsements, Los Angeles and New York are no-brainers. For a great atmosphere outside a ballpark, you could do a whole hell of a lot worse than checking out the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field. As for Cincinnati, it has its own charm and does offer the small-town feel within a (relatively) big city. Each place can offer Müller something...but are these things what he wants?Looking for more thoughts and analysis on Bayern Munich’s 4-0 win over Heidenheim in the Bundesliga? 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Harry Langer/DeFodi Images/DeFodi via Getty Images Almost there, lads! Match information:Location: Allianz Arena, Munich, GermanyKickoff: 3:30 PM Local time | 9:30 AM EDT | 6:30 AM PDTBayern Munich is, theoretically, one win away from reclaiming the Bundesliga title after Bayer Leverkusen dropped points last weekend. If Leverkusen fail to win and Bayern win against Mainz, that should do the trick as it is the best-case scenario for the Bavarians. With rumors of player and coach departures in the summer, Bayern ought to capitalize on the uncertainty in Leverkusen.Team newsThe usual absentees (Manuel Neuer, Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito) are not around while Dayot Upamecano, who is in the process of doing light training, is still not cleared to start. With that in mind, here’s how the team should line up. Media The team is not far from Bayern’s strongest team, as three points on Saturday makes it difficult for Leverkusen to cover ground. Jonas Urbig starts in goal, while Joshua Kimmich, Eric Dier, Josip Stanišić, and Raphaël Guerreiro round out the backline. Konrad Laimer and Aleksandar Pavlović sit in the pivot, while Michael Olise, Thomas Müller, and Kingsley Coman provide support for Harry Kane. While you’re here, please consider listening to our Preview Show for this match! Listen below or on Spotify. Here’s what we have on tap:A look at where each team is in the table and also a look back at the first match.A look at the injury situations for both teams. Why Bayern Munich fans should watch this game. FC Internazionale Milano v FC Bayern München - UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Quarter Final Second Leg Photo by Giuseppe Cottini/Getty Images A lot of the clubs that want Kim might not want to pay his high wages. Like most of the current Bayern Munich squad, Kim Min-jae has had to adjust to life under two different managers in Thomas Tuchel and Vincent Kompany, but his tenure with the German Rekordmeister ever since joining from SSC Napoli has not quite worked out as well as Bayern might’ve hoped. The South Korean international is one of the world’s best center backs when he’s on his day, but internally at Bayern, they are already planning to look for a top center back this summer since they don’t feel they’re at their best with Kim, Dayot Upamecano, Eric Dier, and Josip Stanišić, who the club plan on using at center back more often now as opposed to right back. Per information from football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (as per @iMiaSanMia), there are a handful of top European clubs interested in trying to sign Kim this summer. However, for most of the clubs that are showing interest, the center back’s high wages are a point of concern that would make them potentially reconsider. Kim currently earns 12 million euros per year at Bayern, which is only the 12th-highest of any other player in the Bayern squad, but considering his transfer fee was only 50 million euros when he moved from Napoli, clubs are hesitant to pay his annual wages. For that reason, if Bayern does want to sell the center back, the player would likely have to agree to a pay cut to go somewhere else if it’s in Europe. There are also inquiries from clubs in Saudi Arabia, which would lighten the financial concern of the purchasing club not being able to afford Kim’s wages. The interested clubs in the Saudi Pro League are reportedly ready and willing to match the current wages he is earning at Bayern, it’s just a matter of whether or not the player would be willing to go there. Despite the club saying they want to target a top center back this summer, Kim could decide he wants to stay and fight for his place in Kompany’s personnel selections, but he could also be persuaded by the riches on offer in Saudi Arabia or agree to a pay cut to stay somewhere else in Europe. A lot can certainly happen between now and the end of the season. Looking for more thoughts and analysis of Bayern Munich’s current transfer situation heading into the summer transfer window? What will the backline look like next season? Which attackers could leave? Is Florian Wirtz truly the answer to Bayern Munich’s problems? AFC Bournemouth v Fulham FC - Premier League Photo by Robin Jones - AFC Bournemouth/AFC Bournemouth via Getty Images Bayern Munich will take on Mainz 05 this weekend! Don’t look now, but there appears to be some traction growing on those stories linking Bayern Munich to Bournemouth center-back Dean Huijsen. While it is far from a done deal, it at least appears as if Bayern Munich is a serious contender for the Spain international.Fabrizio Romano checked in with some news, which indicated Bayern Munich is interested, but needs to sell a piece or two to make a deal happen: Dean Huijsen has not decided his next club yet as £50m release clause will surely be triggered.Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal still ALL in the race talking to his camp.Bayern keen since January but depends on sales; Real Madrid haven’t decided whether they want new CB or not. There was more, though, as the Tz duo of Philipp Kessler and Hanna Reif (via @iMiaSanMia) reported that Bayern Munich has been observing Huijsen “for years”, but also that the Bavarians would likely need to shed one of its two big money center-backs (Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae). Interestingly, the Tz reporters also noted that Bayern Munich would prefer any move to be for a left-foot center-back.Interestingly, Huijsen is listed as ambipedal (able to use both feet equally well):Dean Huijsen has been on Bayern’s radar for years. There has been and there’s still regular contact with his father and agent. Bayern would likely only sign a top centre-back if one of the current regular starting defenders were to leave the club. Negotiations over a contract extension with Dayot Upamecano have stalled, and there’s a possibility Kim Min-jae would be sold.Ideally, Bayern want to sign a left-footed centre-back.You want more? Good, because we have it. Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg is reporting that Huijsen’s release clause does not need to be paid in one, lump sum. Instead, Plettenberg says that the €58 million release clause can be paid in three installments: What makes the release clause for Dean #Huijsen even more interesting: the £50m/€58m do not have to be paid immediately – it has been contractually agreed that the clause can be paid in three instalments. All interested clubs have been informed of this. Talks with several clubs are ongoing. No decision has been made yet. #LFC #CFC Finally, Romano (via @iMiaSanMia) checked in again with something that might pique your interest even more as he says that the Bavarians “love” Huijsen:Dean Huijsen is a player Bayern love. But at Bayern they feel that Premier League clubs can spend way more money, that’s why the club is not confident at the moment that they can make it happen - but they want the player and made contact with his representatives. The interest is 100% confirmed. Huijsen has yet to make his decision - but the situation is leaning towards a move to the Premier League.Hmmm…While reports indicate that Upamecano’s contract talks are on shaky ground and that Min-jae was, well, just shaky at times this season, there does seem to be a reasonable way to get a very good, young center-back.Should Bayern Munich just go for it with Huijsen?Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show Season 4, Episode 40It has been a wild week for Bayern Munich as the club prepares to try and capture the Meisterschale. That focus has not slowed down the news, however. The Bavarians are embroiled in key contract talks, transfer rumors and even potential heat on the front office. Needless to say, there is much to talk about. Let’s dive into what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show: Bayern Munich’s backline is on shaky ground at the moment — Dayot Upamecano’s contract talks have stalled, Kim Min-jae is on the hot seat, and rumors are indicating that the club could make a splurge play for Dean Huijsen. Everyone wants Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz — Bayern Munich now has to battle Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal FC, and Liverpool FC for the Germany international.…

1. FC Köln v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Markus Gilliar - GES Sportfoto/Getty Images Brazzo played his cards close to his chest. Former Bayern Munich player and director of sport, Hasan Salihamidžić handed Leon Goretzka his previous contract. Goretzka came under fire under Thomas Tuchel for his performances in the 23/24 season and found himself increasingly on the bench at the beginning of this season. Yet, Vincent Kompany did not hand too many starts to João Palhinha (seemingly a Goretzka replacement) as the preferred midfield pairing emerged to be Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlović. When Pavlović was injured, Leon Goretzka found himself back in the team. From @iMiaSanMia via @SPORTBILD, when asked if Goretzka should get a new contract, Brazzo mentioned the following: “I’m happy for him that he can show his strength on the pitch and that the midfield, along with Joshua Kimmich, is working so well again. I would really like to see FC Bayern in the remake of the ‘Finale dahoam’ in Munich, and hope to win it this time.” Unfortunately, the dream of a final in Munich is over; however, Goretzka still might have played well enough to be awarded a new contract.Looking for more thoughts and analysis of Bayern Munich’s current transfer situation heading into the summer transfer window? What will the backline look like next season? Which attackers could leave? Is Florian Wirtz truly the answer to Bayern Munich’s problems? 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Harry Langer/DeFodi Images/DeFodi via Getty Images There’s already pen on paper, but Sané is just looking over some of the finer details before he agrees to sign it. For a while now, it has been unclear whether or not Leroy Sané will be getting a contract extension at Bayern Munich, following suit with Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala and Joshua Kimmich. That status, however, has changed if you believe the most recent report. The winger had been rumored to be willing accept a wage cut in order to have the club offer him an extension, especially as they prepare to make a blockbuster signing of Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz.Per information from kicker’s Georg Holzner (via @iMiaSanMia), Sané had his offer on the table for a few days, but wanted to properly think over all of his options. Despite all signs pointing to a deal being officially signed soon and relatively simply, the club always understood the necessity for the player to take his time before signing. FC Bayern Muenchen Training Session And Press Conference - UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD8 Photo by S. Mellar/FC Bayern via Getty Images That is a huge relief. For a long time, Wisdom Mike was simply known for the huge fee it took for Bayern Munich to persuade him to join the club back in 2022. Most of the rumored €300,000 fee was down to relocation costs rather than going to a transfer fee for previous club Borussia Mönchengladbach, but putting so much money on the table for a 13-year-old raised many eyebrows. Those eyebrows have lowered now, however, as Mike now catches the eye with his phenomenal talent. Two footed, agile and a very large goal threat, the winger is one of the most impressive young players emerging from the FC Bayern Campus. However, the initial contract Mike received in 2022 runs out in a mere couple of months and Bayern have been hard at work trying to renew it. Therefore, the report from Tobi Altschäffl and Christian Falk, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, that Mike has renewed his contract is very good news for the club: Wisdom Mike has signed a new 5-year contract at FC Bayern. The club rates the 16-year old highly and believe he can make it in the first team. Several top European clubs were interested.BFW AnalysisThe 5-year-contract is certainly intriguing. Amateur contracts can only last three years in Germany, so this contract must be a professional one or at least turn into one once Mike turns 18. To sign a professional contract at just 16 years of age at Bayern is very rare. The last one to do so was Paul Wanner, who was at the time the crown jewel of the youth academy. This underlines the faith Bayern have in Mike. One that he has very much justified so far. Perhaps he will even be able to celebrate the new contract with some minutes with first team at the end of the season, once he recovers from his injury.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen v FC Bayern München - UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Round of 16 Second Leg Photo by Oliver Kaelke/DeFodi Images via Getty Images Will Bayern Munich get a deal done with Dayot Upamecano? According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Torben Hoffmann (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich center-back Dayot Upamecano is making progress on his quest to return to the pitch: Dayot Upamecano has recently been able to complete light exercises with the ball, accelerations, one-legged jumps over small hurdles, and sprints without any problems. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to play again before the end of the Bundesliga season. But his personal realistic goal is to be fully fit and available for the Club World Cup.Upamecano also has been at the center of ongoing contract talks that might not be advancing forward. Paris Saint-Germain, who is eager to bring French talent back home, could get involved per Christian Falk: Dayot Upamecano’s long-term future at Bayern Munich has been thrown into question. Club chiefs Max Eberl and Christoph Freund were initially confident about concluding contract talks quickly. However, it seems that the Frenchman is set to remain on his current terms (expiring in 2026) for a while longer. Contract talks with Upamecano have hit a bit of a stumbling block in recent days. There are several things the two parties are struggling to see eye to eye on.FC Bayern can’t agree to higher salary demands at a time when they’re looking to cut costs across the playing squad. Likewise, the centre-half is looking for a revised release clause. His agents think that his current clause (€120m [£102.7m]) is too high, so they’re demanding that the club set a lower one.Moussa Sissoko continues to represent Dayot Upamecano. It’s inevitable, then, that the links to PSG will continue, given he also represents other French internationals. The Bundesliga defender has hardly settled nerves with his constant chopping and changing of representation. The 26-year-old has changed agents three times in the same number of years. Upamecano switched from German star player agent Volker Struth and his agency (Sports 360) to Gordon Stipic’s Unique Sports Group in 2022.Bayern Munich’s bosses are feeling the pressure. Vincent Kompany wants to keep working with the Frenchman. The club would rather sell Kim Min-jae, though only if a potential suitor is prepared to offer around €50m [£42.8m].Urbig returnsAfter battling an illness, Jonas Urbig was back in tow: Jonas Urbig is back in training today after recovering from a cold pic.twitter.com/Etf1hD4a3w— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) April 24, 2025Goretzka hammers assistant coachSometimes accidents happen in training. 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Christian Kaspar-Bartke/Getty Images Maybe dreams “can be buy” after all Bayern Munich is trying to raise funds for the blockbuster transfer of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. The former is putting up players for sale and one of them is Kingsley Coman. The 29-year-old prefers a move to Saudi Arabia, which put the four best clubs there on alert:Kingsley #Coman still has his sights set on a move to Saudi Arabia this summer – that plan hasn’t changed. The four top Saudi clubs are pushing hard to sign him. FC Bayern are open to talks.A move could bring in over €50m for Bayern, with Coman potentially earning around €25m net.Arsenal remains a concrete option if the Saudi transfer falls through.– Sky Sports journo Florian Plettenberg as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMiaBayern has made Wirtz their business and will do whatever it takes to get him. If not, this saga could mirror that of Real Madrid selling Luis de Sol to Juventus in 1962 to try and sign Pele, who ultimately stayed with Santos.Looking for more thoughts and analysis of Bayern Munich’s current transfer situation heading into the summer transfer window? 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Christian Kaspar-Bartke/Getty Images Bayern Munich is looking to capture the Bundesliga title... If you believe some reports, Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich did not have the most solid relationship with former coach Thomas Tuchel. Despite being eliminated from the Champions League in each of the last five campaigns, Kimmich said that his season, things just felt...different — especially under head coach Vincent Kompany. “I had the feeling we were more solid. I’ve been knocked out of the Champions League nine times in the last ten years, and I often had the feeling we were starting to question ourselves and point the finger at others. We’ve developed a different bond with each other this season—especially within the dressing room. No one there has been looking for blame in the past few days. We all knew we couldn’t change the elimination anymore and now we had to focus on the last two possible titles,” Kimmich told Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “(Kompany)’s doing things very, very smartly — especially in public. That’s a huge benefit for us, allowing us to focus on ourselves and our performances.”It does not take much to read between the lines to see that there is a better feeling within the locker room walls than there was just a year ago. FC Bayern Munich Training Session Photo by R. Mitterer/FC Bayern via Getty Images Bayern Munich has the Meisterschale on its mind... Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany can understand how it can be a little distracting with a Meisterschale so close to the squad’s reach The manager also knows that it is his job to help the boys maintain focus. “The players need to know what’s needed to be tactically and mentally ready for every game. We lost the reverse fixture in Mainz. Knowing the team as I do, the motivation is very high. We need to look at our qualities. Mainz have earned their results, have a clear idea, are consistent in everything they do. When they press, they press together. When they defend, they defend together. They’ve also had belief this season. They’re always a threat. Our motivation is there. We lost against them, which we don’t want,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). As far as the Bundesliga title goes, Kompany feels like he is just one small cog in the machine. “As a coach, you feel it’s the players who’ve won the title, so I wouldn’t say it’s my title. It’s about the players. Talent determines a lot. I want them to get the chance to show their best. I hope we can do it, but it’s important that the players want to achieve it,” said Kompany. When asked about winning titles, Kompany was astounded how many people just blow past his time at Burnley. “This is incredible. It’s the second time this week someone tells me this will be my first title as a coach. I won a title [with Burnley],” Kompany stated. When pressed about Burnley not being in the Premier League when Burnley won, Kompany had another retort before refocusing on the task at hand. “Yes, but we were first in the table and won the title. We had a parade,” Kompany noted. “I’ve just prepared for the Mainz game. The game is the only important thing, what happens during the 90 minutes. All other scenarios aren’t on my mind.”Earlier this season, Mainz outlasted Bayern Munich 2-1 and now Mainz is fighting to stay in contention for European play in 2025/26. Kompany understands that all of that matters and knows every team is capable of taking down Bayern Munich on the right day. “Everything has to come together if you want to go through a season without defeat. We got a red card against Bochum, meaning it was no longer the perfect situation. In Mainz, everything went for Mainz and it wasn’t a good game by us. We were the better team in most games, but weren’t better there. We always move on. We immediately prepare for our next goals. We’ve got the motivation to keep going. We try to improve every week,” Kompany. Finally, Kompany touched on the squad’s personnel for the Mainz match. “Thomas Müller has been a bit sick and didn’t train for three days. I hope he’ll be back in training today and be available tomorrow. Rapha Guerreiro is also struggling with some problems, nothing serious. But we have to wait and see,” said Kompany. “We’ve got good young guys in training. They’re progressing nicely. Them being part of the squad isn’t just a gift but also a reward for their work. We want to give them the chance to make it. There are many more steps to go. You know with young players you always have to be patient. There’s first a lot of money in for them, then a new girlfriend, then they move out - a lot of things can happen. Our job is to give them an environment where they can develop.”Looking for more thoughts and analysis on Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga showdown with Mainz 05? Tottenham Hotspur FC v Nottingham Forest FC - Premier League Photo by Rob Newell - CameraSport via Getty Images Is Mathys Tel’s time at Bayern Munich coming to an end? In just a few weeks, Bayern Munich will have to decide what to do with Mathys Tel. The young attacker is on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, where the English club is apparently unsure about paying another €40 million for the Bayern Munich loanee. Tottenham has already paid the first 10 million for the loan fee. According to a report from kicker journalist Georg Holzner (via @iMiaSanMia), that might not be necessary. Bayern Munich might be willing to negotiate a lower fee for the Frenchman: Bayern are willing to negotiate with Tottenham for Mathys Tel for ‘well under’ the €50m option to buy and are hoping an agreement would be reached. What do you think Bayern Munich fans — should the Bavarians cut the cord on Tel and lower its asking price?Looking for more thoughts and analysis on Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga showdown with Mainz 05? Bournemouth Training Session Photo by Robin Jones - AFC Bournemouth/AFC Bournemouth via Getty Images Will Bayern Munich splurge on a center-back this summer? Huijsen garnering more interest, including from Bayern (@FabrizioRomano)Bournemouth center-back Dean Huijsen is going to be one of the most sought-after players int he transfer market this summer — and Bayern Munich looks to be firmly in the competition to get him. Chelsea FC is also very interested in the Spain international as well: Understand Dean Huijsen has release clause into his contract valid from this summer. Told Chelsea really appreciate Huijsen and he’s high on the list, Bayern called to be informed.Bournemouth are unbeaten since Huijsen entered in the starting XI, with 8 clean sheets.Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law (via @iMiaSanMia) backed up Romano’s claim and went further to say that Chelsea is leading the race for Huijsen and that Bayern Munich is ready to pay his rumored release clause (allegedly €60 million): Chelsea are leading the race to sign reported Bayern target Dean Huijsen and are believed to be ready to pay his £50m release clause. NUFC to make move for Min-jae? (Football Insider)Newcastle United could be getting very serious on a pursuit of Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae: Min-jae was close to joining the Premier League in 2023 after Football Insider revealed Bayern Munich hijacked Man United’s transfer, and he made the move to Germany. Now, Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, has claimed the centre-back is interested in the possibility of a move to England.“Newcastle want to push on from the position they’re in,” he told Football Insider. “They’ve done very well recently, finally won a trophy and look like they’ll get into the Champions League. But Eddie Howe still feels they need to strengthen their options at the back. Sven Botman has been unlucky with injuries, Dan Burn has been fantastic but he’s not a European-level defender, and Fabian Schar isn’t getting any younger.“So it’s an area Newcastle feel they could improve in and they want to do that this summer. Kim Min-jae is a name I’ve heard recently in connection with Newcastle, and he’d be a good option. Man United wanted him before he moved to Bayern, and he’s done well there but I’ve heard whispers he could now be available.“He would bring a lot of know-how and elite-level experience to this Newcastle side which is always a huge asset for any team. Plus, he’s a solid defender and I think he’d be interested in a move to the Premier League, so I think he’s going to be one they look to get over the line.”Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show Season 4, Episode 40 (Bavarian Football Works)It has been a wild week for Bayern Munich as the club prepares to try and capture the Meisterschale. FC Bayern München v 1. FC Köln - Bundesliga Photo by Stefan Matzke - sampics/Corbis via Getty Images Finally, something that everyone at Bayern can agree on. Back in 2021, the soccer world was rocked by the news of the proposed European Super League that would overthrow the current hierarchy of Europe. The biggest clubs, but not necessarily the most successful, would be awarded large sums of money to play in a special league that would leave the smaller clubs in the dust. After many board discussions and fan protests, cooler heads prevailed and the idea was rejected by most of the major clubs, including Bayern Munich. Not to be entirely squashed, the European Super League recently rebranded to the Unify League. Bayern Munich legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had some harsh words for the project.“The Super League, as originally planned with the top clubs from England, Spain, Italy, France and Germany, will never happen,” said Rummenigge (via @iMiaSanMia). “Because no one will take part except Real Madrid and Barcelona. What they are doing now is approaching second-tier clubs. But then it won’t be a Super League.”Despite being one of the invited clubs, Bayern was never enticed by the money grab of the European Super League. Rummenigge’s assessment is probably right but there will always be certain clubs who are too greedy. Are Bayern Munich fans just exhausted and mentally worn down from the past few seasons? Maybe! The supporters might be losing some steam after a tumultuous period, so let’s talk about why so many are just zapped. We’ve also got some chatter on the transfer rumors surrounding Kim Min-jae and why Joshua Kimmich is shouldering so much of the blame after Bayern was eliminated from the Champions League by Inter Milan. 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Harry Langer/DeFodi Images/DeFodi via Getty Images Wait, maybe there’s a way around this... Bayern Munich seems to have a nasty, nasty habit of pushing out players that never got proper chances to prove themselves in the team. Sacha Boey is unfortunately the victim of this questionable mindset, and the club wants him out for at least his market value:Even though it’s very unlikely they will get back the €30m they paid for Sacha Boey last year, Bayern want to recoup a large portion of that fee. Boey’s current value is around €18m. Bayern would be happy to sell him for around that.– Bild as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMiaBFW AnalysisThe club needs to stop with this nonsense. They considered Boey a flop, but how is a player supposed to prove himself if he doesn’t even get playing time. Them pinning that Inter Milan goal on him is frankly a stupid decision. Yes, Boey was mostly injured but during his recent window of fitness, he didn’t have time to gel with the team so throwing him out in that match was a risky move. The right back is a position where there aren’t a lot of decent players. Joshua Kimmich won’t play there even if you hold him at gunpoint and say that the only way he could live is to play right back and Josip Stanišić, the only other player who can play that position, is being planned as a center back. Konrad Laimer is not a natural right back either.Boey is only 24 and still has room for improvement, he should be given another opportunity to prove himself while others need to pack it up and get out of Munich.Looking for more thoughts and analysis of Bayern Munich’s current transfer situation heading into the summer transfer window? 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Harry Langer/DeFodi Images/DeFodi via Getty Images Bayern Munich might have kept another play in Bavaria... According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich has reached an agreement with winger Leroy Sané on a three-year contract agreement. Sané’s current deal is set to expire in July, but speculation has run rampant that the Germany international was willing to take a pay cut to stay in Bavaria — and it looks like he did just that if the report is true. Sané’s current deal pays him €15 million and included a €5 million bonus structure. The new deal would see him collect €10 million, plus €5 million in what are believed to be potential bonuses. The wording of the report is unclear on if the bonus is a fixed signing bonus or a performance-based incentive: Bayern and Leroy Sané have reached an agreement over a new contract. The deal is expected to be finalised next week. 3-year contract until 2028. Salary €10m fixed plus €5m bonuses. If true, is this a good deal for Bayern Munich? Tell us in the comments below!Looking for more thoughts and analysis of Bayern Munich’s current transfer situation heading into the summer transfer window? St. Pauli vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen - 1.Bundesliga Photo by Ulrik Pedersen/NurPhoto via Getty Images Where will Florian Wirtz end up? Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal FC, and Liverpool FC are all rumored to be very interested in Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz. According to a report from kicker journalist Georg Holzner (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Hans Wirtz, Florian’s father, would like his son to ink a deal with Bayern Munich. However, the player is more concerned with the coaching situation of each club and what the plan for him might be: Florian Wirtz’s father and agent Hans Wirtz can very well imagine his son joining FC Bayern. But for that he first needs the player’s approval. The 21-year old is said to be basing his decision primarily on the coach of the club he will join. For him it’s not mainly about the club, but about the coach and what prospects he will be presented with. Bayern are rolling the ‘red carpet’ for Wirtz to join. He’s planned in the #10 position and as a central element for the club’s future. Financially Bayern are definitely capable of affording the deal. The role of the Wirtz family has been a consistent theme in this transfer saga. Bayern Munich legend Uli Hoeneß is said to have a strong relationship with Uli Hoeneß that goes back to Florian’s teenage years when Bayern Munich first became interested in him. Unfortunately for the Bavarians, Florian Wirtz will ultimately make the decision and the allure of Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola or a potential move of Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid could become major obstacles.
