Political Motivations: The Megaupload case was driven by then-Vice President Joe Biden’s ties to the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), which labeled Dotcom a “pirate” to protect Hollywood’s interests. This “state capture” mirrors the political concerns in Archer’s case, warranting similar executive action.
Societal Impact: The shutdown of Megaupload harmed millions of users and stifled innovation, unlike Archer’s more contained fraud. A pardon would restore balance, prioritizing public access to technology.
Human Rights and Precedent
The seizure of Dotcom’s property and reputation, without due process, violates internationally guaranteed rights to property, due process, and honor, as recognized in cases before the UN Human Rights Committee and European courts. If such rights prevail for suspected terrorists, they must apply to Dotcom’s copyright allegations. Your pardon of Archer establishes that executive clemency can address injustices driven by political motives. Dotcom’s case, with its documented abuses and Biden’s involvement, demands equal consideration.
Request for Action
I respectfully request that you grant Kim Dotcom a full presidential pardon, dismissing all charges and halting extradition proceedings. Alternatively, I urge you to direct the Department of Justice to drop the case, given its legal and procedural flaws. Such action would:
🔘Uphold the Rule of Law by correcting due process violations.
🔘Protect internet freedom and innovation from special-interest overreach.
🔘Reinforce your commitment to fairness, as demonstrated in Archer’s pardon.
🔘Send a global message that the U.S. respects international sovereignty and human rights.
The Megaupload case is not just about one man; it threatens the principles of justice, privacy, and free expression that define our nation. By pardoning Kim Dotcom, you can right a profound wrong and cement your legacy as a defender of liberty.
Thank you for considering this request. I am available to provide further information or assist in any way to advance this cause.
Sincerely,
The Editor,
GEORGE NEWS

Other countries’ leaders began trickling out of the palace several minutes earlier to line up for the photo. Prior to Trump coming out, the red carpet briefly blew up in a gust of wind, prompting everyone else to shout “Woah!”
The president was brought down the steps to be at the front of the photo. He shook Emmanuel Macron’s hand, and the French president could be heard saying “How are you?” POTUS stood between the king and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During the photo, there was some brief laughter by other officials. Some bells rang in the distance, presumably 2100 ones.
Queen Máxima’s chartreuse colored jumpsuit and cape stand out in the sea of dark suits. POTUS appeared to gently tap both the queen and king as they all walked back up the stairs.
The president returned inside the palace with the others at 9:01 p.m.
Only four members of the White House press pool were permitted to remain outside the palace for this (print pooler, TV producer and camera, still photographer); the rest of the pool was required by what appear to be Dutch officials to hold on a bus out of sight.
Large potted arrangements of pink flowers have been placed on the steps of the palace. Men in tactical clothing with scopes and binoculars are perched on the roof of the palace.

This is not just a story of crime; it’s a saga of institutional betrayal, cultural fault lines, and a fight for the soul of a nation. We peel back the curtain on the grooming gangs scandal, tracing Tommy Robinson’s turbulent journey, the government’s belated response, the contentious debate over radical Islam from Pakistan and Bangladesh, and the chilling mechanics of child trafficking. This is a deep dive into a darkness the UK can no longer ignore.

President of the United States

June 30, 2025
Dear President Trump,
I am writing to respectfully urge you to exercise your constitutional authority to grant a full presidential pardon to Kim Dotcom, the founder of Megaupload, who has faced an unjust and politically motivated prosecution by the U.S. government for over a decade. Your recent pardon of Devon Archer, convicted of a $60 million fraud scheme, sets a powerful precedent for addressing prosecutorial overreach and political influence in our justice system. If a pardon is warranted for Archer, it is undeniably justified for Dotcom, whose case is marred by legal flaws, due process violations, and special-interest lobbying, with far-reaching implications for internet freedom and the Rule of Law.
The Case Against Kim Dotcom
In 2012, the U.S. Department of Justice indicted Kim Dotcom and Megaupload, a Hong Kong-based cloud storage company, on charges of criminal copyright infringement, racketeering, and conspiracy, alleging that the platform facilitated user-driven piracy. The government seized Megaupload’s global assets, shut down its servers, and initiated extradition proceedings against Dotcom, a New Zealand resident, without a hearing. This dramatic action, dubbed “Operation Debut,” involved a theatrical raid on Dotcom’s home, orchestrated for media impact rather than necessity.
The prosecution’s case rests on a theory of secondary copyright infringement, which does not exist in U.S. criminal law. Megaupload complied with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act’s (DMCA) safe harbor provisions, promptly responding to takedown notices and even granting copyright holders direct access to remove infringing links. Unlike direct infringement, which requires willful intent, Megaupload’s actions demonstrate a commitment to legal compliance, negating the mens rea required for criminal liability.
Moreover, the U.S. lacks jurisdiction over Megaupload, a foreign corporation with no U.S. offices or agents. The government has failed to serve a criminal summons under Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 4, and U.S. copyright law does not apply extraterritorially to the 90% of Megaupload’s users located abroad. The seizure of assets and data, including that of millions of legitimate users (e.g., 15,634 U.S. military personnel), was executed ex parte, violating due process. Misrepresentations in warrant applications and illegal surveillance in New Zealand further taint the case, rendering it a textbook example of prosecutorial abuse.
Comparison to Devon Archer’s Case
Your pardon of Devon Archer on March 25, 2025, addressed concerns of political targeting by the Biden administration, given Archer’s ties to Hunter Biden. Archer was convicted of securities fraud and conspiracy, causing over $60 million in direct harm to victims, including a Native American tribe. His conviction followed a fair trial, with full due process, yet you deemed clemency appropriate, citing equitable and political considerations.
Kim Dotcom’s case presents a stronger case for clemency:
Lesser Culpability: Archer’s fraud was deliberate, with proven intent, whereas Dotcom’s charges rely on an untested legal theory with no evidence of willful infringement. Megaupload’s legitimate uses—storing personal files, business data, and academic materials—far outweigh any alleged piracy.
Due Process Violations: Unlike Archer’s fair trial, Dotcom’s case involves egregious abuses: asset seizures without notice, misrepresentations to courts, and illegal spying. These violations offend the Rule of Law, which your administration champions.
Jurisdictional Overreach: Archer’s case was within U.S. jurisdiction, but Dotcom’s prosecution extends U.S. law extraterritorially, threatening international sovereignty and internet freedom.
Why the Case Against Kim Dotcom Should Be Reconsidered. From Internet King to Political Pawn: The Real Story of Kim Dotcom's Indictment.
The case against Kim Dotcom and Megaupload is a house of cards—built on shaky law, dirty tactics, and Hollywood’s iron grip on Washington. With the Trump administration now in charge, it’s time to ditch this case and let Kim Dotcom reclaim his freedom. Here’s why.
