The operation, titled the "Gates of Hell", took place near the "Al-Mashrou'" junction of eastern Rafah, southern Gaza.
Clashes are still ongoing, Medivac Helicopters have landed in the area for the evacuation of causalities.

The Unit proceeded to target the area with a number of mortar shells. Upon withdrawal, the unit confirmed the destruction of a [unspecified] vehicle, and the landing of Medivac Helicopters to evacuate casualities.
This marks the second operation in the same area, and the fourth within the IDF established buffer zone near the border, a direct challenge to Israel.
