What is the PEEL technique?
The PEEL technique is a structured method for organizing paragraphs in writing, particularly useful in IELTS Writing Task 2. It helps ensure that each paragraph is clear, coherent, and directly addresses the essay prompt. Here’s what PEEL stands for:
1️⃣ Point: State the main idea or argument of the paragraph.
2️⃣ Evidence: Provide evidence, examples, or reasons to support the point.
3️⃣ Explanation: Explain how the evidence supports the point and relates to the question.
4️⃣ Link: Connect the paragraph to the overall argument or transition to the next point.

From an overall perspective, it is clear that the overall rise in travel distances during this period was primarily driven by increases in rail, bus, and air travel, while bicycle and motorbike usage declined. Notably, bus and rail were the predominant modes of transportation.
Focusing initially on the two leading modes, bus travel accounted for precisely 40 kilometers in 1990, increasing slightly to 42 kilometers by 2000. Rail travel, though lower, also experienced growth, rising from 36 kilometers in 1990 to 38 kilometers in 2000.
In contrast, the less commonly used modes of transport recorded figures below 5 kilometers per week. Bicycle usage commenced at 2 kilometers but decreased to just 1 kilometer, while motorbike usage halved from 4 kilometers to 2 kilometers over the decade. Notably, air travel, which began at just above 1 kilometer per month per person in 1990, saw remarkable growth, quadrupling to 4 kilometers by 2000.
The overall travel distances for all modes amounted to 100 kilometers in 1990, rising to 110 kilometers by the end of the period under consideration.

Overall, there was a noticeable upward trend in the number of temporary migrant workers, with the United States recording the highest total during the specified period, while New Zealand exhibited the lowest overall figures. In contrast, New Zealand had the highest ratio of temporary migrant workers per 1,000 people in 2006.
From the data presented, it is evident that in 2003, the United States had 577,000 temporary migrant workers, which increased to 678,000 by 2006, solidifying its position as the top destination for migrant labor. Australia and the United Kingdom also experienced significant growth; the former saw an increase from 152,000 to 219,000 workers, while the latter rose substantially from 137,000 to 266,000. Conversely, New Zealand started with 65,000 workers in 2003 and increased this number to 87,000 in 2006.
In terms of the ratio of temporary migrant workers per 1,000 individuals in 2006, New Zealand led with a figure of 21.1, followed by Australia and the United Kingdom at 10.7 and 4.4, respectively. The United States, however, recorded the lowest ratio, at just 2.3 per 1,000 people.

🔵 آیا تغییری در سوالات آیلتس لیسنینگ ایجاد شده؟ مدتی است که داوطلبین آزمون بیان می کنند که نوع سوالات یا Question Types در قسمت شنیداری آزمون آیلتس تغییر کرده و بعنوان مثال در پارت اول آزمون (که معمولا سوالات جای خالی وجود داشت) هم اکنون سوالات چند گزینه ای یا حتی سوالات مچینگ دیده می شود! در واقع هیچ تغییر جدیدی در بخش شنیداری آزمون آیلتس ایجاد نشده بلکه اگر به کتابهای کمبریج آیلتس قدیمی مراجعه کنیم متوجه می شویم که این حالت در کتابهای قبلی در نمونه سوالات وجود داشته است. در واقع در چند سال اخیر سازمان برگزار کننده آزمون برای ایجاد تغییرات غیرساختاری مجدد به سراغ تکنیک قدیمیه تغییر نوع سوالات رفته اما نکته مهم اینجاست که ماهیت و هدف سوالات تغییر نکرده بعنوان مثال اگر در حالت های معمول سوالات پارت یک، داوطلب باید جای خالی را یک یا دو کلمه پر می کرد، با تغییر نوع سوالات اکنون ممکن است جواب سوالات را در حالت سوالات چند گزینه ای انتخاب کند پس جای تعجب ندارد اگر در پارت سوم بجای سوالات طولانی و گیج کننده چند گزینه ای، سوالات جای خالی وجود داشته باشه (که برای خیلی از داوطلبین نوعی خوش شانسی هم هست!) در انتها اگر مهارت شنیداری خودتان را تقویت کنید، جای هیچ نگرانی وجود نخواهد داشت و حتی ممکن است با این تغییرات نمره بالاتری هم در آزمون کسب کنید. ما در دوره جامع لیسنینگ همه این موارد مهم و نکات ضروری را با مثال و نمونه سوال آموزش داده ایم.

Overall, the figures for all occupations exhibit significant disparities. Accounting led the way with the highest numbers for every year, followed by cooks and software engineers at a considerable distance. In contrast, the computer programming sector consistently had the lowest workforce count, lagging behind other professions.
The number of accountants significantly surpassed other occupations, starting at approximately 20,000 in 2009 and reaching a peak of around 28,000 in 2012. However, this number declined to 20,000 in 2013 and further decreased to 18,000 in 2014. In comparison, the number of software engineers rose consistently from 18,000 in 2009 to a peak of 22,000 in 2011 before falling to about 16,000 in 2012.
The cooking profession began with 17,000 workers in 2009, experienced a dip to 15,000 in 2010, and fluctuated to approximately 18,000 in 2011 and 16,000 in 2012. Meanwhile, computer programming consistently recorded the lowest figures, starting with only 2,000 migrants in 2009. This number rose to 3,000 in 2010, reverted to 2,000 in 2011, and then increased to 5,000 in 2012, demonstrating some moderate growth by the end of the period.

1. What is your hometown like?
My hometown is a small, picturesque town located near the coast. It features charming streets lined with historic buildings and offers a range of outdoor activities due to its proximity to the beach and nature reserves. In my opinion, this blend of natural beauty and historical significance makes it quite special. However, I would say that its limits in terms of job opportunities and nightlife may deter some young people from staying there. Growing up in such a place has provided me with a strong sense of community, which I believe has positively impacted my values and social skills.
Over the years, my hometown has experienced quite a transformation. Initially, it was a quaint little town predominantly focused on agriculture, but now there has been a significant increase in tourism and small businesses. I think this change has been beneficial in many ways; it has injected new life into the community, allowing for more cultural events and amenities. However, it has also created some challenges, such as rising costs of living and a greater influx of people, which can sometimes overwhelm the local infrastructure. Personally, I feel both excited and nostalgic about these changes, as they reflect my hometown's evolving identity.
What I like most about my hometown is its strong sense of community and the traditions that bind people together. There are regular communal events, like fairs and festivals, where neighbors come together to celebrate, which fosters a deep connection among residents. I believe this sense of belonging is increasingly hard to find in larger cities, where people often lead more isolated lives. Additionally, the impact of growing up in that environment has taught me the value of relationships and community support, which I carry with me in my life now, regardless of where I live.
While I have a profound attachment to my hometown, I’m not certain I would live there permanently in the future. Though it offers a peaceful and nurturing environment, I feel that my career aspirations may require me to stay in a larger city where there are more opportunities available. However, I do see myself returning for extended visits or perhaps even settling there later in life when I want a quieter lifestyle. The impact of my hometown on my upbringing and values will always be a part of who I am, and I’ll always appreciate the warmth and support it provides.
