A group of 57 Israeli and Jewish passengers is suing United Airlines, claiming antisemitic discrimination after their Tel Aviv-bound flight was turned back mid-Atlantic.
The incident began when a passenger briefly sat in an empty crew seat. The crew escalated the situation, leading to the flight’s sudden return to Newark.
Passengers say they weren’t told why and allege mistreatment, including a flight attendant telling a man in a kippah to “go ask your people.”
United denies the claims, citing safety concerns.

The IDF has called up tens of thousands of reservists ahead of a major expansion of its Gaza offensive.
The military move, approved by Prime Minister Netanyahu, comes as part of a larger plan to escalate operations in Gaza with the goal of defeating Hamas and securing the release of 59 remaining hostages.
Many reservists being called up have already served multiple rounds since the war began in October 2023.
The call-up coincides with intensified Israeli airstrikes, which reportedly killed at least 40 people in the last 24 hours.
Reservists receiving orders tonight are expected to report for duty throughout the coming week.

She alleges he raped her in her home, possibly after drugging her. Schem filed the complaint six weeks ago and has provided medical evidence, saying she continues to suffer flashbacks of the incident.
The trainer, a social media personality, was arrested but later released due to lack of evidence. During a police confrontation, he changed his version of events and reportedly told Schem she had “ruined his life.” Schem responded: “I was dazed for three days because of you.”
Police are still investigating and are seeking testimony from a third man who left for the U.S. the day after the alleged assault.

President Donald Trump announced that all purchases of Iranian oil and petrochemical products must cease immediately. He warned that any country or individual continuing such trade would face secondary sanctions, effectively barring them from conducting business with the United States. This declaration follows the postponement of U.S.-Iran nuclear talks that were scheduled to take place in Rome, signaling a renewed “maximum pressure” campaign aimed at curbing Iran’s nuclear ambitions and reducing its oil exports to zero.
The imposition of secondary sanctions is particularly significant given China’s status as the largest importer of Iranian crude oil. Analysts suggest that a full crackdown would require targeting major facilitators, such as Chinese banks, to effectively reduce Iran’s oil exports.
The announcement has already impacted global oil markets, with prices rising nearly 2% following the threat of new sanctions.
The U.S. breaks its silence on Syria’s Druze crisis:
“The violence and hate targeting the Druze community is reprehensible and unacceptable,” says State Department’s Tammy Bruce. Washington is now demanding accountability from Syria’s interim rulers.

🚨 Update: The first suspect in the arson has been arrested.

Around 350 body bags containing unidentified remains from the October 7 Hamas massacre are still being held at the Shura military base near Ramla. These remains are stored in refrigerated containers and have not yet been properly buried.
A dispute between the IDF’s Military Rabbinate and the Ministry of Religious Services has stalled further DNA testing. The Military Rabbinate, backed by Chief Rabbi David Yosef, insists on additional testing to ensure every Jewish victim receives a proper and individual burial.
However, the Ministry of Religious Services opposes this, citing limited resources and concerns over potential desecration of remains. Instead, it suggests burying the unidentified remains in a mass grave.
This deadlock has left many families in limbo, unable to receive closure or confirm the fate of their loved ones.
