Amid the terror attack in Kashmir, a shocking video emerged showing Muslim men shouting “Allahu Akbar” as tourists were ziplining nearby. In the background, heavy gunfire can be heard as terrorists target Hindu visitors.
The man in the video, Rishi Bhatt, later shared in an interview: “Nine people ziplined before me, but the operator did not utter a word. When I was sliding, he spoke, and then the firing started. So, I have my suspicions about that man. He said ‘Allahu Akbar’ thrice and then the firing started.”
Bhatt said the shooting erupted while he was on the zipline, and only after about 20 seconds did he realize a terror attack was underway.
“I saw 5-6 people getting shot,” he recalled, explaining that he managed to detach himself from the zipline and escape with his family.
“I unlatched my belt and jumped down, took my wife and son and started running away. We saw people hiding at a spot which was like a pit, so you could not spot someone easily there. We too hid there,” he said.
An internal security inspection at a Ramat Gan supermarket revealed a serious violation: a man employed as a cleaner was identified as a 51-year-old resident of Gaza who had entered Israel illegally and used a fake Israeli biometric ID to obtain the job through a staffing company.
He now faces charges including unlawful entry, document fraud, and impersonation, with police requesting his detention until the end of legal proceedings.
In a historic move, Germany has appointed Karin Prien as the new Education Minister, marking the first time since World War II that a woman with Jewish heritage holds a federal ministerial position. Prien, 60, currently serves as Schleswig-Holstein’s education minister and co-chairs the Christian Democratic Union’s (CDU) national board. She also leads the party’s Jewish Forum.
Born in the Netherlands to Holocaust survivors, Prien only began discussing her Jewish background publicly in 2016. Though not halakhically Jewish—her Jewish ancestry comes from her grandfathers—she acknowledges the profound impact of her family’s history on her life. “My mother was simply afraid. For her, we lived in the land of the perpetrators. And so it was clear that we wouldn’t talk about it,” she shared.
Prien is set to serve under future Chancellor Friedrich Merz, a noted ally of Israel. Her appointment is seen as a significant step in Germany’s ongoing efforts to confront its past and promote inclusivity.

An Iranian parliament member is accusing Israel of being behind a massive explosion at Iran’s Shahid Rajaee port in Bandar Abbas, where fires are still burning days later. Iranian media reports say at least 40 people were killed and over 1,000 injured.
MP Mohammad Saraj claimed that explosives were hidden inside containers before arriving at the port, hinting at Israeli involvement and possible help from inside Iran — but he offered no evidence. Israel has not responded to the accusations.

Today, a tragic incident occurred at Vancouver’s Lapu Lapu Day Festival, a celebration of Filipino heritage. At approximately 8:14 p.m., a 30-year-old man drove an SUV into a crowd near East 41st Avenue and Fraser Street, resulting in 11 fatalities and over 20 injuries. The suspect, known to police for prior mental health-related interactions, was apprehended at the scene by bystanders and taken into custody.
Authorities have ruled out terrorism as a motive. The attack has deeply affected Vancouver’s Filipino community, prompting condolences from Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. An investigation is ongoing.

Mohamad Hamad, a self-proclaimed Hamas operative in the US Air Force, was indicted after authorities traced anti-Zionist graffiti at Jewish institutions back to him and uncovered his development of pipe bombs. Hamad bragged about being “a terrorist since I was a kid in Lebanon,” openly supported Hamas and Hezbollah, and shared Hamas attack videos during his service.
He and Talya Lubid defaced the Chabad of Squirrel Hill and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh with graffiti like “Jews 4 Palestine” and “Funds Genocide Jews, Hate Zionists.” Lubid texted Hamad, “I can literally feel myself starting to see Jews as my enemies.”
Hamad praised Hamas leaders on Instagram and built explosive devices, later bragging about the terror he could cause while ripping Israeli flags in suburban neighborhoods. Both Hamad and Lubid publicly supported anti-Israel lawmakers after Hamas’s October 7 massacre.

On the eve of Israel’s 77th Independence Day, the population stands at 10.094 million people:

Since last Independence Day, Israel’s population grew by 135,000 people (a 1.4% increase). During this time, 174,000 babies were born, 32,000 new immigrants arrived, about 50,000 people passed away, and the number of Israelis living abroad is estimated at around 56,000 (excluding them from the count).
Since the founding of the state, Israel’s population has grown by 806,000 people. Today, Israel’s population is more than 12 times larger than it was at the time of the state’s establishment.

An Israeli tourist in Japan was asked to sign a “war crimes declaration” at the Wind Villa Hotel in Kyoto after presenting his passport. The form required him to state he had never committed war crimes, including attacks on civilians or torture. The tourist, a Navy reserves medic, said the demand was “ridiculous and absurd,” but eventually signed to avoid conflict.
The hotel required the form from Israeli and Russian guests, citing fears after Israel’s Gaza operation. The tourist said he didn’t believe the clerk was antisemitic but rather misinformed.
Israeli Ambassador to Japan Gilad Cohen condemned the incident, calling it “serious and unacceptable,” and said it violated Japan’s Hotel Business Law.
