🚨🇵🇰⚡️ - Pakistan's government to create new paramilitary force ahead of more protests by Imran Khan's party.
The move turns an existing paramilitary force deployed on Pakistan's northwestern border with Afghanistan into a national security force that will be called the Federal Constabulary.
The new force replaces the Frontier Constabulary (FC), whose cadres were previously recruited only from tribes in the northwestern province. Training of the new force will bring it into line with other national law enforcement agencies.
"We are alarmed by the changes being made to the security and law enforcement structure of the country without any debate in parliament," - opposition parties say.

Today, sources from North Waziristan report that several Pakistani army personnel surrendered to the outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during recent clashes in the region. Following the surrender, the militants reportedly allowed the soldiers to return after local tribal elders intervened and provided a guarantee for their safe passage.
The TTP has claimed it will soon release a video of the incident, raising questions and concerns across social media and security circles.
This development is being seen as another indication of the military’s weakening control in the tribal belt and the growing influence of armed insurgents.

🚨🇵🇰🐠 - The war betwen Israel and Iran led Pakistan to close its border with Iran, disrupting both the inflow of fuel and the export of fish. This double blow has crippled fishing communities already suffering from the impacts of climate change and overfishing.
Balochistan boasts an approximately 770-kilometre coastline along the Arabian Sea which plays a significant role in the country’s fisheries.
Before the conflict, fishers relied heavily on Iranian petrol and diesel, which although imported illegally by smugglers, was both affordable and easily accessible. With the closure of the borders, which remains despite a ceasefire, this supply chain collapsed. Now, fuel is either unavailable or sold at Rs180-200 ($0.63-0.70) per litre instead of the Rs150 ($0.53) it cost before, notes Shams ul Haq Kalmati, chair of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce.
A local source told Dialogue Earth that daily imports of Iranian fuel into Balochistan have plummeted from 600,000 to 140,000 barrels. Other local sources say that before the border closed, more than 300 large oil depots, 1,000 pumps and 2,000 shops were almost exclusively selling Iranian fuel in the port city of Gwadar and surrounding areas, with only two pumps that sold Pakistani petrol.

🚨🇦🇫 - Afghanistan Achieves Self-Sufficiency in Salt Production.
The Deputy Prime Minister Office of the Economic Affairs has said in a statement that Afghanistan is now self-sufficient in salt production.
Salt mines across 10 provinces—including Takhar, Samangan, Balkh, Faryab, Ghor, Herat, Parwan, Paktia, Ghazni and Kandahar—produce high-quality salt.
The statenent added that from 12 confirmed sites, 344,000 tons are produced annually, exceeding the country’s annual need of 300,000 tons.
The statement stated, to support this achievement, the interim Afghan government's Economic Commission has banned all salt imports from abroad.

In June, a tragic crash involving an Indian passenger aircraft resulted in 252 fatalities.

🇵🇰🇵🇸 - Pakistani startup ships prosthetics to Gaza's child war survivors.
The arm was built over 4,000 kilometres away in Karachi by Bioniks, a Pakistani company that uses a smartphone app to take pictures from different angles and create a 3D model for custom prosthetics.
The company has so far provided 1,000+ artificial arms for free or at low cost and aims to expand its work globally for the rehabilitation of war-affected children, especially in Gaza where Israeli forces are carrying out a genocide.
The prosthetic arm costs about $2,500, significantly less than the $10,000 to $20,000 for alternatives made in the United States.
While Bioniks' arms are less sophisticated than U.S. versions, they provide a high level of functionality for children and their remote process makes them more accessible than options from other countries such as Turkey and South Korea.
