💠 80 Duties of the Awaiting Ones in the Age of Occultation
🔻 Duty no. 19
Dua during the occultation of that Imam (as)
One of the duties of the Shia during the time of occultation is to recite the dua Sayyed Ibn Tawus mentioned in his book 'Muhaj al-Du'aat'. The dua is as follows:
اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ عَرَّفْتَنِي نَفْسَکَ وَ عَرَّفْتَنِي رَسُولَکَ وَ عَرَّفْتَنِي مَلآئِکَتَکَ وَ عَرَّفْتَنِي نَبِيَّکَ وَ عَرَّفْتَنِي وُلاةَ أَمْرِکَ. اَللَّهُمَّ لا آخُذُ إِلّا ما أَعْطَيْتَ وَ لا أَوْقي إِلّا ما وَقَيْتَ. اَللَّهُمَّ لا تُغَيِّبْنِي عَنْ مَنازِلِ أوليائکَ وَ لا تُزِغْ قَلْبِي بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنِي. اَللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي لِوِلايَةِ مَنْ أَفْرَضْتَ طاعَتَهُ
O Allah, You have introduced Yourself to me, and You have introduced Your Messenger to me, and You have introduced Your Angels to me, and You have introduced Your Prophet to me, and You have introduced the leaders of Your affairs to me. O Allah, I will not take except what You have given, and I will not seek refuge except in what You have protected. O Allah, do not distance me from the abodes of Your friends, and do not let my heart deviate after You have guided me. O Allah, guide me to the guardianship of whom You have made obedience obligatory.

“The importance of praying for the reappearance of our master, Imam az-Zaman (aj) can be seen from what the renowned Sayyid (Ibne Tawoos) has written in Jamaal al-Usboo. He writes,
‘From the duties of Thursday, it is recommended to send blessings on the Holy Prophet (S) a thousand times, and it is recommended that one should say:'
اللهم صل على محمد وآل محمد وعجل فرجهم
"O Allah, bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and hasten their reappearance."
اللهم صل على محمد وآل محمد، وعجل فرجهم، وأهلك عدوهم من الجن والانس من الأولين والآخرين.
"O Allah, bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and hasten their reappearance. And destroy their enemies, from the Jinns and humans; from the first and the last."

💠 Fadak - Is it wrong to defend one’s right?
Lady Az-Zahra (sa) had no attachment with worldly wealth and considered it valueless, which resulted in personal wealth and lust of an individual. She also knew that she would depart from this temporary abode soon.
When a person knows that he is going to leave this world soon, naturally his worldly desires come to an end. Considering this fact, Lady Az-Zahra’s (sa) stand was to defend the right in all situations so that the society does not get into the habit of crushing the rights of others. That is why she stepped forward bravely and defended her right well.
She went to the house of the caliph of her time and obtained the sanction letter to restore Fadak from him. However, this sanction letter was soon taken away from her forcibly. After that, she went to the mosque accompanied by the Commander of the Faithful. An unmentionable incident occurred in the mosque and she was forced to challenge the usurpers.

💠 A Concealing Bier
It is related that Fatimah told Asma b. Umays, “I do not like how they carry the corpse of women, they place a cloth upon their beir and their body is visible from underneath it. Whoever sees it, knows that it is the body of a man or a woman. I have turned feeble and the flesh of my body has melted, then will you not make something to conceal my body?” Asma replied, “When I was in Abyssinia, the people had a beir that would conceal the body, if you desire I shall make it for you.” Fatimah said, “Make it for me.”
Asma called for a plank and placed it down, then she called for some wood of the palm-tree and fixed it upon the plank. Then she placed a cloth upon it and said, “The beir of the people of Abyssinia was similar to this.” Fatimah was pleased and said, “May Allah save you from the fire of hell. Make a similar kind for me and conceal me in it (after my death).”
It is also related that when the sight of Sayyidah Zahra fell upon the beir, she smiled though she had never smiled after the death of the Prophet of Allah. Then she said, “What a fine beir is it that it prevents from recognition whether it (the body) is of a male or a female.”
