Once a person asked Imam Zainul `Abidin (peace be upon him): “What is the criterion for the acceptance of prayers?” The Imam (peace be upon him) replied: “Acknowledging our Wilayah and dissociating oneself from our enemies.”

In the company of the Prophet of Allah (S) we used to fight our parents, sons, brothers and uncles, and this continued us in our faith, in submission, in our following the right path, in endurance over the pangs of pain and in our fight against the enemy.
A man from our side and one from the enemy would pounce upon each other like energetic men contesting as to who would kill the other; sometime our man got over his adversary and some-time the enemy's man got over ours.
وَلَقَدْ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ(ص)، نَقْتُلُ آبَاءَنا وَأَبْنَاءَنَا وَإخْوَانَنا وَأَعْمَامَنَا، مَا يَزِيدُنَا ذلِكَ إلاَّ إِيمَاناً وَتَسْلِيماً، وَمُضِيّاً عَلَى اللَّقَمِ، وَصَبْراً عَلى مَضَضِ الاْلَمِ، وَجِدّاً عَلى جِهَادِ الْعَدُوِّ، وَلَقَدْ كَانَ الرَّجُلُ مِنَّا وَالاْخَرُ مِنْ عَدُوِّنا يَتَصَاوَلاَنِ تَصَاوُلَ الْفَحْلَيْنِ، يَتَخَالَسَانِ أَنْفُسَهُمَا، أيُّهُمَا يَسْقِي صَاحِبَهُ كَأْسَ المَنُونِ، فَمَرَّةً لَنَا مِنْ عَدُوِّنَا، ومَرَّةً لِعَدُوِّنا مِنَّا

💠 The Words of Lady Zainab (sa)
"Although calamities have forced me to speak to you, I see you trivial in my eyes and find your verbal attacks great and I regard your rebuke too much to bear, but the eyes are tearful, and the chests are filled with depression. What is even stranger is that the honored Party of Allah is being killed by the Party of the ‘Released ones’—Party of Shaitan.
If you regard us as your booty, you shall soon find us as your opponents—that will be when you find nothing but what your hands had committed, “And your Lord never treats His servants unjustly.(41:46)” To Allah is my complaint, and upon Him do I rely.
So scheme whatever you wish to scheme, and carry out your plots, and intensify your efforts, for, by Allah, you shall never be able to obliterate our mention, nor will you ever be able to kill the revelation (that was revealed to us), nor will you ever exalt to our position, nor will your shame ever be washed away.
Your view shall be proven futile, your days limited in number, and your wealth wasted on the Day when the caller calls out, “Think not of those, who are slain in the way of Allah as dead; they are alive (and) are provided sustenance from their Lord”. (3:169)

Somewhere else, the Sheikh wrote the following: “The similitude of the prayer is like the Ka`ba and the Takbirat al-Ihram in it: It is abandoning everything save Allah and entering in His Holy Presence.
Standing in it is like the lover speaking to the one he loves. Bowing is the slave bowing down before his Master. Prostration is the ultimate submission, the feeling of nothingness and of humility to Him. When a slave finishes the prayer, he offers the greeting as a gift. Such is the trip that is filled with mysteries.”

from the Apostle of Allah (S):
The one who transacts (associates) with the people and does not wrong them, talks to them and does not lie to them, and promises them and does not break it, is among those whose generosity is perfect, whose justice is evident, brotherhood with them is obligatory, and backbiting them is unlawful.

💠 The greatest sacrifices in defence of Wilayah
“Obey Allah and obey the Apostle and those vested with authority among you.” (Quran 4:59)
Lady Zaynab, who was in the presence of seven Infallibles, was matchless in all aspects of wilayah: knowledge of – and unconditional submission to – the Imam, introducing Wilayah to others, sacrifice in the way of Wilayah, etc. She had witnessed how her mother protected her Imam (Wali), telling him, “[O Abal-Hasan!] May I become sacrificed for you by protecting you!”
Lady Zahra finally sacrificed her life in support of Imam Ali, being martyred in the way of wilayah. And Lady Zaynab learned commitment to wilayah from her mother and showed it beautifully in Karbala. To introduce wilayah, Lady Zaynab refuted accusations against Ahlul Bayt and reminded the people of the Ahlul Bayt’s forgotten rights. In Kufa, she said, “How do you want to remove the stigma of killing the grandson of the last Prophet—the spring of Prophetic mission—and the chief of youths dwelling in Heaven?”

On the authority of Sulayman b. Ja‘far from Imam al-Reza (as),
O Sulayman! The Blessed and Exalted Allah created the faithful of His Light, shaded them in His Mercy, and secured their covenant for our guardianship (wilāya). Therefore, the faithful are brothers of the same parents; their father is Light and their mother Mercy. So, be wary of the believer’s acumen, since they see with Allah’s Light, by which they have been created.
