Yes I want to turn back into layer 1, I have Blue wallet

Do you mean you want to move from off chain (lightning network) to on-chain layer 1 protocol? If that's what you want to do, it depends on what type of wallet you you are currently using. Can you clarify what wallet you currently have your bitcoin in?

Are you force closing an inactive channel? If yes then answer to your question is no.

Nodes. When your node enters into contract with another node, a channel of liquidity is made. Able to pass sats back and forth with fees determined by each node. The bitcoin amounts in the channel are published on the blockchain in a 2 of 2 sig transaction. That’s how the blockchain secures LN as the anchor point for channels

What does guarantee the security of LN transactions....? 🤔

Guys, bit of a technical question, on best practice.
Let’s say I have a script that manipulates a private key of a wallet, and posts transactions based on some Parameters.
What is the best way of doing this, is there a best practice to do this using btc scripts and cryptography, or I just store the private key in sql db, and sign transactions with rust scripts?

If having only one node is enough to open lot of channels

Yes, you can run multiple nodes on the same network/machine, but you can open as many channels as you wish with a single node.

Can I have more than 1 node under same wifi?

Hey guys.. putting up a new node in my coffee roastery, and want to add a monitor to show my customers the amazing world of bitcoin, lightning payments and being your own bank. Any easy way of getting some fancy graphics running on an umbrel install, or should I maybe just show off RTL ? (I was referred here by someone who thought you could have some answers, oh gurus)

People, does it make sense to use my node just for accepting donations to my Non-Profit organisation? - maybe for regular donors via a BTCpay setup?

I would suggest you speak to the developers at blue wallet. They are on telegram: @bluewallet

Can you elaborate more?
Lightning is mostly useful for micro transactions between two participants.
Anyone know of some Devs who would be interested in supporting a brain-research donation project via the LN?

Is there a risk of losing sats in a forced closing of an inactive channel?

A friend of mine is trying to tell me that "The security of Lightning transactions is backed by the bitcoin blockchain."
Is that true?
It makes no sense to me... since Lightning Network transactions are not even written to the blockchain.
IDK 🤷♂
You asked if it was possible, and the answer is "yes" :)
E.g. I have a routing node on my PC (running 24/7) and a non-routing one in my smartphone.
So, whats the main advantage of having múltiple nodes instead of just one?

Or using one node is enough to create Infinity channels

I've just started with it, but haven't had a chance to use it a ton yet, but i like it so far!

If coinbase did run a node, it would either end up like strike’s node or like bitfinex’s node. It would be easier to keep btc in your wallet using LN(depending on coinbase fees), you would be able to send money to other countries for nearly free and instant that supported LN and be able to spend btc as if it were a digital currency.
