not the same supply, maid/emaid is around 0,45 (American) billions while snt has (will have) bigger supply. some expected around 1,5 billion at the beginning (only expectation). max cap is around 4,3 billions (2^32), there are articles about it if you Google or go to safe Network FAQ, i won't link anything because last time I got banned

but 1:1 conversion is a fact for sure

You can also store them on a trezor. There are guides on the forum. If you want to convert to emaid you'd have to sent it from your own wallet anyway. Do not convert directly from Bittrex.

Do not store large amounts on exchanges in general. But HitBTC in particular is known for locking peoples funds. I'd stay miles away from it.
