why is this disrespectful? it is only a reflection of the current state of affairs.
nothing traded in MAID so E-MAID was created. Now nothing trades in either.
So all that effort, and nothing changed. I think its great that whoever it was tried to improve the situation, but that doesnt change anything. I was one of those who converted some into e-maid and offered them for about a month at a fair price. nothing came of it. so i gave up.4

And to be fair, I'm happy you do know how to use omni and are not a US resident. But saying what you just said sounds a bit privileged and unaware. It's a bit disrespectful for the people that made emaid possible.

i also think all this talk of new exchanges is a waste of time. After so many years the world has lost interest. nothing will change until the beta is launched and it appears to work as desired.

the move to e-maid was a complete waste of time and money.

EMAID(erc20) could be possible, but we'd have to prove we got some liquidity and volume on uniswap first. For most (it not all) exchanges, listing a erc20 token is a click on a button effort-wise. But people would have to start converting maid to emaid so that there is some liquidity. Currently the market cap of all EMAID (7.7M) is just over 1.3M (7.7M supply x $0.17). No exchange will consider us with those numbers.

Guess we're going to have to agree to disagree. I was one of the people that stressed that we should fully migrate or don't migrate at all because it would cause poor liquidity and volume in both. Now, we're finally getting what we should've gotten a year ago. Before the end of the year you'll see 5x the liquidity on uniswap than you've seen on Bittrex in the last year.

US has been excluded from MAID ever since Bittrex US went bankrupt. Additionally, many investors dont know how omni works and we have no idea how long omni will be supported, we're littarely the only asset left using it.

Talk with some liquidity providers on Uniswap and you'll figure out soon enough why there is no liquidity. That has nothing to do with emaid not being viable, but everything with arbitrage because of MAID pair on bittrex. We should've fully migrated a year ago.

So the reason no one is converting to emaid is because you have to go through KYC correct? It just sucks the way the current market is because there’s no point trading unless you’re just doing very small amounts and even that you can move the markets and hard to get the price you want

For MAID(omni) I'd say the chance is near 0,001% that that will ever happen. Omni is just a really big effort to integrage and maintain for exchanges. Most of them moved away from supporting usdt on omni for thag very reason. Volume and liquidity on the coin has to be extremely high for exchanges to consider the integration cost.

why are people fretting about where to store their MAID?

Just get yourself a BTC address which starts with a 1. For example, from bitaddress.org (works offline if you need) and just withdraw to that address.

If you dont know how to do that, you probably shouldnt have any money in crypto.
