Where the Gods Play Silently – A Brazilian Tribute to Saturnus is a unique and heartfelt homage from the Brazilian Doom Metal scene to the legendary Danish band Saturnus. Organized and produced by the veteran band The Cross, this project was released in 2024 to celebrate over three decades of Saturnus' influential musical journey — a clear reflection of the band’s profound impact on musicians around the world, especially in South America.
What makes this tribute even more special is the direct involvement of Saturnus themselves. The band’s lead vocalist and bassist participated in one of the tracks, turning this tribute into more than just a reinterpretation — it becomes a true collaboration that bridges continents and generations.
The album features 14 tracks, each performed by a different Brazilian band from the Doom, Death/Doom, or Gothic Metal scenes. Together, they offer a fresh yet respectful take on the emotional and somber universe that Saturnus has crafted throughout the years.
آلبوم «Where the Gods Play Silently – A Brazilian Tribute to Saturnus» ادای احترامی خاص و متفاوت از سوی هنرمندان Doom Metal برزیل به گروه افسانه‌ای دانمارکی Saturnus است. این پروژه توسط گروه باسابقه‌ی The Cross سازمان‌دهی و تهیه شده و در سال جاری، به مناسبت بیش از سه دهه فعالیت هنری Saturnus منتشر شده است؛ که نشانه‌ای از تأثیر عمیق و جهانی این گروه، به‌ویژه بر موسیقی‌دانان آمریکای جنوبی است. نکته جالب توجه، حضور مستقیم اعضای Saturnus در این آلبوم است؛ خواننده و باسیست اصلی گروه در این آلبوم همکاری کرده‌اند تا این ادای احترام، صرفاً بازخوانی آثار نباشد، بلکه پیوندی واقعی میان هنرمندان دو قاره را شکل دهد. این آلبوم شامل ۱۴ قطعه است که هر کدام توسط یکی از گروه‌های Doom، Death/Doom و Gothic Metal برزیلی اجرا شده‌اند و نگاهی تازه به جهان احساسی و تاریک Saturnus ارائه می‌دهند.
