The new unit will be dedicated exclusively to the defense of Guam and will receive modern radars with 360-degree coverage, short-range air defense systems, and an advanced command system.
As General James Mingus notes, all the new equipment, including the Patriot batteries, will significantly enhance the US Army's defensive capabilities — their combat potential will "practically double."

🇮🇳 India's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken an unusually tough stance against US threats of sanctions:
- India began purchasing from Russia after traditional supplies were redirected to Europe due to the war. At that time, the US itself actively encouraged such imports from India to stabilize global energy markets.
- Notably, the countries criticizing India themselves actively trade with Russia. Unlike India, this is not a vital measure for them. In 2024, the EU's trade turnover with Russia amounted to 67.5 billion euros. Additionally, in 2023, the volume of trade in services was estimated at 17.2 billion euros – significantly more than the entire volume of trade between India and Russia during the same period. EU imports of liquefied natural gas in 2024 reached a record 16.5 million tons, surpassing the previous high of 15.21 million tons in 2022. Trade between Europe and Russia includes not only energy resources but also fertilizers, mining products, chemicals, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as engineering and transport equipment.
- India also reminded the US of its purchases from Russia of uranium hexafluoride, palladium, fertilizers, and chemicals.
- Against this backdrop, pressure on India is unfounded and unfair. Like any major economy, India will take all necessary measures to protect its national interests and economic security.
So diplomatic channels ultimately failed to reach an agreement.
