🇦🇿🇦🇿 Islamic Azerbaijani resistance (Hussainiyoon): The path of faith written with blood

The date was the morning of June 4, 1993. The hot summer sun, as if rising from the horizon like the light of God, was shining over the city of Ganja. The heart of Azerbaijan, which had just stepped into its new independence, that ancient city, was drowned that day both in light and in dark clouds. The terrible sound of an explosion tore apart the silence of the morning, shaking the whole city and calling people to a sudden awakening.

The ringing of the phone cut through the silence filled with terror. The voice of my younger brother, serving in the voluntary Ganja battalion for the defense of Karabakh, brought to us a strange sorrow and a silent anxiety. He said that a heavy attack had begun, that the danger of brotherly blood being shed was near. It was as if this news was a blow that fate struck into our hearts.

We hurried to the military unit. There, hundreds of people were mixed together, each raising within themselves their honor, fear of God, and love for the homeland. Together with my brothers and the youth, we decided to be a bridge between the military units, to stand as a human shield in front of the fire. Because we knew, not even a single drop of brotherly blood should fall to the ground.

But fate was merciless. The brave heroes of Karabakh, Mehman Alakbarov and Elchin Asadzade, were treacherously struck from behind and rose to martyrdom. When their souls ascended to the heavens, the earth shook, and the sounds of fire began. At that moment, we understood that in Ganja not only weapons, but truth and falsehood had entered into battle.

That day Ganja was not just a city. It became a sacred place targeted by the intrigue of hidden forces, but by divine wisdom it was writing a new page of history. Everything was planned, brotherly bloodshed, the shaking of the state, and the breaking of the will of the people. But the will of God was different.

The young child of the martyr Elchin Asadzade lost his father that day, but in reality, he inherited the light of his father. This child, years later, grew into youth, carried the burden of his family on his shoulders, and went to Russia in search of bread. But his heart’s bond with God took him to the holy city of Qom. There he armed himself with knowledge and wisdom, and became known by the name Musa. He could not remain silent against the oppression done to his nation, he rose up. Thus he began political activity, created religious organizations and communities in Ganja and surrounding regions, and these activities put him face-to-face with the government. Despite the persecutions of the authorities, he led the believers in fulfilling their religious, national, and spiritual duties.

Later fate brought him to a greater stage. He stepped onto the path of the "Sacred Shrine Defense" created by a figure like Martyr Hajj Qasem Soleimani and was brought to the leadership of the "Huseyniyyun" Movement. Huseyniyyun was no longer just a movement, it was a school.

Today, under the leadership of Musa Asadzadeh, Huseyniyyun serves the nation in military, media, and other fields. Shoulder to shoulder with him, Sheikh Orkhan Mammadov [Leader of the Islamic movement "🇦🇿 Azerbaijan Research Center" (Azərbaycan Araşdırma Mərkəzi)] also lights the lamp of knowledge and enlightenment, carrying this sacred burden. Their every step is accompanied by prayer, by faith, and by the spirit of the martyrs.

We believe that the light of hope of the people of Azerbaijan, the descendants of Ahl al-Bayt, will not be extinguished, on the contrary, it will shine brighter every day. May God grant them steadfastness, and grant our people victory and honor. Amen.

I do not exaggerate when I say, yet I am fully convinced that every tear shed for the Master of the Martyrs of the Resistance Axis, and every moment of sorrow we live in his memory, carries honor before God and a place on the Day of Judgment — just as our tears for the Master of the Martyrs of Karbala did. They gave sacrifice an eternal meaning and turned their blood into a guidebook for nations, a proof that giving for the sake of truth cannot be measured by time, nor valued by place.

Three hundred sixty-five days have passed, my dear, three hundred sixty-five dawns and dusks in which I count the moments of absence. I shed my modest tears as if in silent acknowledgment of the greatness of your spirit, so as not to disturb the serenity of your pure soul, nor dim the light of your presence that never fades from our consciousness. Each tear that falls on my cheek carries with it a sincere promise — a pledge to continue on the path you charted, and to keep the flame of your resistance alive in our hearts.

Yet, my dearest, most beautiful beloved in this era of setbacks, the safety of my years and the solace of my soul, is not a single tear for your soul enough to ignite an ocean of longing in the heart? Would the entire universe shedding its tears suffice to honor you? Or do our tears, however many, remain insufficient in the face of the magnitude of your sacrifice, which transcends description and surpasses the silence of ages?

As for me, I continue shedding my modest tears, keeping my muffled cries in my chest. The grief that tightens my heart I sanctify in silence, for fear of disturbing the serenity of your pure soul. I continue in remembrance, prayer, and supplication, and in every silent act that carries the fragrance of your presence among us, because I know with certainty that every sincere tear is a living testimony of love for you, and every sorrowful sigh is an eternal pledge of loyalty — understood only by those who have walked the path of martyrdom, and who know that selfless giving is the truest meaning of life, and that loss can only be erased through silent devotion and lasting fidelity.

O you who live in our hearts, who taught us that martyrdom is not a loss but a light that burns within souls, who turned your absence into a school of loyalty and patience — know that my tears are not merely water; they are a silent promise, a sincere testimony, and an eternal pledge to remain on the path you charted, to follow your unforgettable footsteps, and to uphold the values you made immortal.

As for the memory, it pulses deep within us with every heartbeat, with every whisper of the soul, and settles in our silence before the harshness of time, as if it were the pulse of life itself, undefeated. It is what allows the eyes to see light in the darkest nights, teaches the heart patience amidst storms, and makes the soul stand steadfast when mountains crumble before the enemies’ might. Our resolve does not break, nor does our light fade; the martyrdom you carried becomes a beacon that drives us to perseverance, a source of strength empowering us to confront all attempts at tyranny and despair.

And with every passing day, and every shed tear, our conviction grows: you have not departed from us; your presence is stronger than all absence, and the path you chose for us is the path that knows no defeat — a path that pierces darkness with the light of truth, that turns pain into a message, sorrow into strength, and loss into a call to continue honoring your pledge and principles.

O beloved of the soul and consciousness, emblem of loyalty and truth, you who raised the banner of truth despite the clamor of storms — know that we still carry your tears in our hearts, still preserve your footsteps in our consciousness, and still believe that every silent moment of sorrow, every sincere tear, every cry of the heart, is a testimony to you, a solace for souls, and a light upon the paths charted by the martyrs before you.

Al-Aqsa Flood made it very clear, the spiteful and sectarian ones basically have no desire to support their brothers. Some of the Sunni hypocrites let down the Sunnis in Palestine, and some of the Shia hypocrites let down the Shias in Lebanon.

The Al-Aqsa Flood showed us, from both sides, who are the ones who seek this unity, not just with words.

While the Nasibis want to erase the Shia identity and it's only them who get fueled up when the name Shia being mentioned, some of the Shias are doing the same exact thing, wanting the Shia identity to be erased and not talked about. The reality is, WE had no problem with martyrs Sinwar and Haniyeh being Sunnis, same as the victims in Gaza as a whole, we mourned them and respect them still, regardless they were Sunnis.

Ironically, they want to end sectarianism and bring unity by going after one sect (usually Shias) and force it to compromise and hide their identity, which is in fact a sectarian act that is no different than what Nasibis and takfiris who seek, to wipe out the identity of Shias and anyone else, even Sunnis who differ with them. Such attitude will also give the Shias a false concept of “to unite, is to compromise and hide your identity”, which can actually result with negative reaction, pushing people further away from unity.

Unity is to acknowledge that the enemy aims to wipe out anyone, whether it be Sunnis or Shias, even Christians. Unity is to learn how to live with each others despite the differences in belief. The enemy is the one who wages war on you, occupies your land, orders the killing of your own people for their sect and justifies it…, not the person or people who differ with you in belief. Unity is when both sects are able to practice their faith and be who they are without any fear.. Unity is when a sect would see others being oppressed from a different sect, they would not hesitate to apply the Islamic teachings and put their effort and sacrifice their blood and soul in their defense.

Al-Quds itself is the real unity for all, from Sunnis and Shias.

My martyred father had a deep and special connection with the Holy Quran. Every night, despite his busy schedule, he would recite three parts of the Quran while standing, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

No event or circumstance would prevent him from maintaining this practice—not even on the night of his martyrdom. Even amidst great responsibility and loss, he would spread his prayer rug and complete his recitation.

His devotion left a lasting impact on us, his children, and even his grandchildren. They grew up witnessing him stand and recite the Quran every night, and this left a profound impression on them.

For instance, my nine-year-old daughter, since her grandfather’s martyrdom, holds the Quran and dedicates verses to him whenever she misses him—standing as he did, following his example.

This indicates few things:

The fate is SEALED. Hezbollah will NEVER give up its weapons no matter what.

By stating "Karbala-like" confrontation, that means a big battle is ahead regarding this matter and their stance is clear. What's about to come is a big challenge.

This also explains Hezbollah's silence regarding the ongoing israeli aggression and raids, something is big stirring up behind the scenes, the Hezb is aware and there is no other option but a confrontation, either victory or Karbalai martyrdom
