"Anthony has trained this week and worked really hard. He won’t be able to play 90 minutes, but he is hopefully able to join the squad.

Like it or lump it, if we get beat on Sunday then the pressure is well and truly on Jaissle.
That doesn't mean we need a "Jaissle in" v "Jaissle out" divide in the fanbase.
It simply is what it is and he needs a good performance and ideally, a good result.

💔 Former Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimarães has lifted the lid on the emotional scenes surrounding his £75m summer move to Arsenal, admitting there were tears all round when saying his goodbyes.
Speaking after Arsenal's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, Bruno opened up on how tough it was to walk away from Tyneside:
"I never felt so loved like the way I was at Newcastle... When I said bye to the lads, I was crying. They were crying as well, because we were a family there."
During his five years at St James' Park, the Brazilian midfielder became a huge fan favourite — wearing the captain’s armband and lifting the Carabao Cup in 2025 to end our 70-year trophy drought.
Bruno admitted the decision gave him sleepless nights, but felt he needed a fresh challenge:
"To be fair, it was very tough for me to make this decision... I lost many, many nights of sleep because it was difficult for me and for my family. But I think I did great for Newcastle. We won a trophy after 70 years. We got into the Champions League twice. I wish them all the best."

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley was determined to appoint Arteta and was willing to offer him an EXTRAORDINARILY LONG CONTRACT to convince him to join.
Arteta was SERIOUSLY TEMPTED by the opportunity and even tried to assemble a coaching staff for the move.
However, concerns over the squad, the pressure of replacing the popular Rafael Benítez and difficulties assembling his preferred staff contributed to the move falling through.
Arteta eventually REJECTED Newcastle and joined @Arsenal_london just months later.

🤕 Tino Livramento is currently suffering from a knee injury. The issue was first picked up in training last month and was initially thought to be minor, but tests have revealed that he requires a period of rest and recovery. Given his previous history with serious knee injuries, the club is being understandably cautious.
🤔 The good news? Well according to Craig Hope, he has avoided serious damage and has returned to light work on the grass this past week. While there’s no fixed return date yet, he’s being eased back into full fitness and is unlikely to feature in next month’s international fixtures.
