Regarding Tucker’s interview with the Iranian president— it’s funny how normies are defending this under the pretense that Tucker is simply a “real journalist” doing “real journalism” by “interviewing a world leader.”
Is that what they call it? Was his father one of those “real journalists” when he was appointed by Reagan to create Cold War propaganda for the Communist Bloc?
Tucker has been on a perpetual world tour meeting publicly and privately with American allies and adversaries. That isn’t journalism, that is diplomacy.
Granted, this is probably a positive development that somebody at a high level in the US is ostensibly trying make peace but let’s just call it what it is.
One thing I have noticed after the "12-Day War" between Iran and Israel is that most of the more mainstream Israel-critical pundits don't seem to know precisely why we oppose a war with Iran and this has left them fumbling after the ceasefire.
Many of them predicted that the initiation of hostilities with Iran in any form would necessarily draw in Russia and China and lead to a major global conflict that directly involves the United States.
When that didn't happen, many of them were left looking for other things to be outraged about like whether or not Trump had constitutional authority to attack Iran without Congress or whether it constituted a war crime.
The truth is that this has been a pattern, where these types of pundits have consistently over-estimated the solidarity and strength of the China-Russia-Iran bloc and underestimated the strength and solidarity of the US-led bloc.
For years, these analysts have been predicting the imminent collapse of Ukraine, and then predicted that Israel was on the verge of collapse fighting Hamas and Hezbollah, and then that Israel would never stand a chance against Iran.
Well, 3.5 years later and Russia has barely advanced in Ukraine, Gaza is decimated, Hezbollah is functionally neutralized, and Israel was able to have its way with Iran for two weeks.
In that period of time, the US took Argentina away from BRICS, brought Saudi Arabia back into the fold, pried Armenia and Syria back from Russia, and utterly degraded Iran while Russia and China watched.
The real problem, however, with an Iran War is not that it risks a war with China necessarily, or even boots on the ground from the United States. I'm less worried what will happen if the US suffers a tactical defeat than if it wins a tactical victory.
If the government in Iran is toppled, and diplomacy prevails between Israel and all of its neighbors, then it creates a strategic landscape in which Israel is unchallenged and unchecked in the region.
After the US fought to make the Middle East safe for Israel over the last 32 years, we will leave all of the spoils in their hands as we move on to build up our presence in the Pacific. We would effectively hand over a Middle East empire to the Israelis.
A hegemonic, unchecked Israel, with its vast influence in the United States and Russia would effectively dominate the planet. Hedging between the US and China, controlling land, sea, and energy routes that run through the Middle East, the US would no longer even have the pretense of being able to influence Israel.
This is and always was the real problem. I'm not worried about America losing, I'm terrified of "America" winning.

This is really funny. So that whole narrative about a Trump-Israel split that was so sensational a couple months ago was a complete and total psyop by the Israelis to trick Iran into lowering their guard.
At that time, dupes like Curt Mills and others ate this shit up like greedy little piglets. He was writing about the “framing” of the rhetoric. Lol.
Meanwhile, I said to watch what Trump does and not what the reports say. I said that while there was so much talk of a Trump split, Witkoff maintained that there is virtually no daylight between the US and Israel, that Trump denied the report, and that if the US were serious it would act differently.

I see though that this crowd is still hanging onto their idealism and creating this little dialectic which says that nation-building and immigration are both based on blank-slateism.
That the Iraq War was a folly based on the liberal idea that Western values are exportable which contains the assumption that Iraqis, like all people, inherently want rationalist democracy; and that mass immigration is based on the same idea, that Mexicans will assimilate into Anglo-American culture for the same reason.
Except these were both arguments that were used to SELL these policies to white people. In reality, 9/11 was a false flag and the war in Iraq was pushed by Israel. The Open Society ideology was invented in opposition to Adolf Hitler and imposed by Jewish billionaires and intellectuals.
And what would be the answer to “blank slateism” anyway? Racial nationalism obviously. If Iraqis and Mexicans are not inherently rationalist liberals and are therefore incompatible with our culture then that means we need a White ethnostate, right?

The NCRI report which claimed that anti-war influencers were being astroturfed by Iranian bots specifically identified the “false flag reflex,” or the reflex to call any attacks against America like the assassination attempts against Trump, as problematic.
So transparent what is going on here. It is actually astonishing and incredible how desperate the MAGA movement is to reassure themselves.

They successfully implanted the idea in Iran's mind that Israel would never strike without explicit US authorization, and Iran fell for it, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

The US strike against Iran wasn’t the first and won’t be the last operation.
If you think that Trump “got in and got out” with a narrow strike that destroyed Iran’s nuclear program and it was all part of the master plan… you must have started paying attention last week.
Stuxnet was in 2010. Trump killed Soleimani in 2020, Israel was assassinating scientists throughout the year. In 2021 Israel launched a major cyberattack against Iran. In 2023-2024 Israel and the US rolled up Iran’s entire proxy network and carried out terrorism, espionage, and industrial sabotage inside Iran.
All of this culminated in the 12-Day War and the US strike. This is only the beginning of the end of a 7-15 year war against Iran.
One week since the US attack on Iran and the overwhelming evidence from the US, Europe, Israel, Iran, and the IAEA is that the strike was not successful.
The status of Iran’s ability to enrich and its stockpile of enriched uranium is completely unknown and must be assumed to be intact.
Iran has now denied IAEA inspectors access to its nuclear facilities and will expel them from the country. It is threatening to withdraw from the NPT if the E3 countries impose snapback sanctions— a near inevitability and a gesture towards weaponization.
The “new” US proposal for a nuclear deal is a more detailed version of its first offer before the 12-Day War, which was rejected. Iran remains defiant and insists on its right to enrich uranium.
Trump has said repeatedly that he is open to striking Iran again if enrichment continues, and Israel’s Defense Minister announced that Iran will get the “Lebanon Treatment,” which suggests a state of ongoing hostilities and regular attacks on Iran.
Everything that we have seen since the implementation of the ceasefire suggests that the 12-day War and US strikes were only the first wave of a major escalation in the long war against Iran.
