There is a planted story in the press this week that Trump cut off Netanyahu due to his intransigence on normalization with Saudi Arabia and his attempts to force Trump's hand on Iran.
I doubt that Trump will abandon Israel completely but there is clearly something to this story, as evidenced by recent developments like the firing of Mike Waltz and truce with the Houthis.
Trump has also restarted negotiations with Iran scheduled for this Sunday and has proposed a deal with Saudi Arabia that will allow them to develop a civilian nuclear program without normalizing relations with Israel.
With Trump praising Erdogan, negotiating with Iran, and a potentially significant deal with Saudi Arabia, it seems that Israel is becoming diplomatically isolated.

To recap recent developments:
Last Saturday, the third round of US-Iran negotiations were held in Oman and included technical talks with a team of experts led by Michael Anton on the US side.
Although the previous two rounds of talks were hailed as “positive and constructive,” this week there was disagreement over uranium enrichment.
Israel had been demanding complete dismantlement of Iran’s uranium enrichment capacity. After going back and forth, the US proposed that Iran could keep its enrichment capability if it ceased enrichment and imported enriched material from outside countries.
This week, the fourth round of talks scheduled for today in Rome were first postponed by the US side and then finally cancelled altogether.
This happened at the same time that National Security Advisor Mike Waltz was sacked and replaced temporarily with Marco Rubio.
Trump is considering whether to keep Rubio in this position for 6 months.
The rhetoric from the US side has been escalating with the US imposing new sanctions, threatening to attack Iran, and changing its demands to include restrictions on Iran’s ballistic missile program and dismantlement of its enrichment capability.
The fourth round of talks which were scheduled to take place today marked the halfway point in Trump’s 60-day deadline for Iran to agree to an interim nuclear agreement.
Like yeah, of course the admin will always defend its actions even if what they are saying is disingenuous or plain false.
Trump is a politician, politicians make false promises and lie. I know that’s crazy. The “influencers” are paid surrogates, they are being given talking points by the GOP. They are not honest, they are not even doing their own thinking. You can’t take their word for it.
All of this should be obvious and yet, whenever I critique the admin, I get Trump NPCs in the replies telling me the line that was fed to them by Jack Posobiec about how it’s all part of the plan, as though it’s a novel insight instead of campaign rhetoric.

Guys like Walsh, Doyle, Pat Casey, et al are pantomiming this archetype of a “normal white dude” with repressed far right opinions. They are totally submitted to Jews, Jews are their bosses, they never discuss Jewish Power… not because they are shills but because they have a really good, intellectual cop out reason.
They shrug and pretend to be nonchalant, they say “hey man I just care about America,” “people who criticize Israel are Left Wing,” “hey bro I’m just normal.” These are talking points.
This is a carefully constructed identity that they want young white men to echo back. They have created the construct of “normal white dude with extremely far right opinions, but who never ever talks about Jewish Power because that’s just like not cool man or spiritually leftist,” or whatever.
Matt Walsh says on Tucker, “any country dependent on the US for its security should not exist.”
This is supposed to sound like edgy, nationalistic rhetoric. Intentionally vague.
Tucker replies with the obvious, he says, “oh, like Israel?”
Walsh says oh no, not like Israel at all actually because they aren’t dependent on the US (a total lie).
Then when pressed on the Middle East, he shrugs and says oh well I really don’t care about Israel I just care about America.
This is a very intentional strategy.
I’ll add this: I see a lot of catholics chastising me over my presence here.
They need to learn that there are other ways to lead, inspire, and influence people besides chastisement.
Sometimes I do because I feel like it. But my life is not actually a negotiation with my audience.

Israel has steadily escalated its tactics to derail a potential deal since diplomacy began 3 weeks ago.
From Netanyahu’s insistence that Iran follow the “Libya model” of denuclearization after his talks with Trump in early April, to mysterious acts of sabotage at Bandar Abbas and Isfahan in the past week.
Israel is now openly committed to a unilateral attack on Iran with or without a nuclear agreement with the United States.
Just 3.5 months into Trump’s second term and it appears that war with Iran is all but inevitable at this point.

Reportedly, the talks collapsed when the United States made sudden additional demands, likely after pushback from Israel.

This is yet another example of MAGAtards falling for it again.
Every time the administration compromises against its base, they always have an excuse.
Tariffs are cancelled… and that was all part of the plan!
Deportations are slow… because they’re getting the bad ones out first!
The admin is effectively already at war with Iran… but Witkoff is making a deal!
And you’ll see Trump supporters restate these talking points as though they are arguments. But these “arguments” don’t describe reality, it’s just rhetoric. This is political language specifically created to mollify the base.
A deal with Iran was, is, and will be extremely unlikely. Not impossible, but given the red lines set by the neocons in the admin, plus Israel’s determination to sabotage the talks, it was always going to be a longshot.
But for his supporters, Trump going through the motions is enough to say “mission accomplished!” This is why it is important to soberly assess the political reality rather than letting Republican surrogates do your thinking for you.
These shills are the equivalent of spokesmen in a tv commercial. When they glaze Trump, that’s like how a Big Mac looks juicier in a commercial. When they say “capitulating on tariffs was always the plan” thats like when a Chipotle spokesman says the bowls aren’t getting smaller, they just look that way.
Let’s just be up front and honest— they have undertaken a junior partnership position with the Zionist Jews.
They are in the side-car riding with Yair Netanyahu, Yoram Hazony, Curtis Yarvin…
That is what they are doing and they know that but they downplay it and call it something else.
Any rhetoric that suggests that Israel is “not our problem” or some remote concern, obsessive preoccupation— this is all a disingenuous attempt to minimize the issue.
The Trump admin is pushing Jewish neocons to take over the Ivy Leagues, Jewish neocons are running the State Dept and surveilling/deporting antisemites, half his Cabinet wants a war with Iran— these are all serious problems.
And they are indicative of the relationship between the political opposition in America/Europe and a vast Jewish-Zionist network.
