For pretty beginners, PyCharm should be the best
Besides, for zed/vscode any language server other than pylance are not yet mature, so I believe python support zed may lack smooth experience as in VSCode+pylance
BTW, imo Zed has the most configuration mind overhead while in VSCode you just click "Install" on the popup suggestion, plugin bundles everything needed and you can just happy coding

I tried switching to zuban, basedpyright, ty and pylyzer
Zuban is well handling corner cases (you may never use them in your code) but it's type hinting is really strict to explict type annotations, and not reading stubs so you have really messy DX
Also, it's not integrated into VSCode fine like pylance does, for example you hover on the range, it literally expands all overload variants, not the one you're using; it does not highlight your current paramerer neither, you may find it strictly handling type checking but that's causing pain
