Israel repeatedly turns joyfulness into sadness in Gaza by targeting the very essence of civilian life, homes, weddings, schools, hospitals, and graduation venues.
In Gaza, the world can watch how sudden airstrikes shifts a wedding ululation to wailing over a groom or bride coffin.
From slain Fatema Hassouna, who is anticipating her wedding in the coming days, to the mother who lost three grooms sons at once, Gazans have been witnessing the binary oppositions on the very same day by the same criminal: Israel.
Shortly after formally presenting his credentials in occupied Jerusalem, US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, admitted that Israel uses the starvation imposed on Gazans as a weapon and a method of collective punishment.
Huckabee stated: “A WHO official asked me to put pressure on Israel to allow the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip for the civilian population. I would like to call for pressure to be put on those who are truly responsible – Hamas.”
Pope Francis was outspoken about Israel's assault on Gaza and suggested that the global community should examine whether the offensive constitutes genocide against the Palestinian people.
The pontiff died at the age of 88, after his final address on Easter Sunday called for a ceasefire in Gaza.

According to local sources, Israeli settlers stormed the town of Sinjil in Ramallah, under the army’s cover, setting fire to Palestinian properties and homes, stealing, and killing 45 sheep.

Israeli occupation forces raided the home of freed Palestinian detainee Ahmad Abdul Karim Al-Deek in the town of Kafr Al-Deek in Salfit at dawn yesterday and detained his 12-year-old son, Ahmad, to pressure him into surrendering himself.
The soldiers blindfolded and handcuffed the boy, took a photo of him, and sent it to his father via WhatsApp with a threat: "Either turn yourself in, or we will arrest your son and the rest of the family."
At gunpoint, they also forced the child to record a voice message begging his father to come, in a blatant violation of international and humanitarian laws.

In an interview on the “Call Me Back” podcast, former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant admitted that they knew Hamas would do everything necessary to preserve the lives of Israeli captives because they were “their insurance policy.”

Al-Harazin, deliberately shot while returning from work, is the wife of Palestinian doctor Nahid Abu Taima, Director of Nasser Medical Complex, who is currently abducted by Israeli forces.
At least one Gazan was killed and many were injured after an Israeli suicide drone exploded among the displacement tents near Roni street in Mawasi Khan Younis area, south of the Gaza Strip. Israel has been using suicide drones to target gatherings in Gaza.
On April 17, 2025, four children were playing near displacement tents in Deir Al-Balah when a suicide drone hovered over them and then exploded mid-air, shredding the children’s bodies into pieces.

"This is genocide. Arrest Netanyahu," said Claudia Webbe in response to Israel’s killing of 15 aid workers in southern Gaza last month.
The Israeli military released details of a probe into its own killing of 15 Palestinian paramedics and aid workers in Gaza, saying its code of ethics was not violated and only one soldier is dismissed, in an assault that sparked outrage in the international community.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society, however, rejected the findings of the Israeli probe, calling it "contradictory" and "full of lies."
