During a visit to Megiddo Prison on Monday, Attorney Ben Marmarelli reported that Marwan Barghouthi appeared mentally strong and in good spirits, though visibly thin.

Reports of recent beatings are false; the last assault he suffered was on 15.9.25 during his transfer by the Nachshon Division, when four to five ribs were broken and he briefly lost consciousness. This was the seventh assault he has endured since October 7th 2023.

He received medical attention upon arrival at Megiddo and is now physically stable, though he continues to experience rib pain.

Barghouthi suffers from insufficient food, as the Israel Prison Service fails to provide the meals it claims. He constantly thinks of his family, including his grandchildren, whom he has never met, and draws strength from their presence in his thoughts.

Human Rights Watch has found Israeli occupation forces committing war crimes in southern Lebanon by deliberately targeting civilian construction equipment and infrastructure vital for post-war recovery.

In a report released Monday, HRW documented Israeli strikes between August and October 2025 that killed three civilians, wounded 11 others, and destroyed at least 360 bulldozers, excavators and heavy machines, along with a cement and asphalt factory.

The attacks have severely obstructed reconstruction efforts in southern Lebanon, where around 10,000 homes were damaged or destroyed, leaving some 64,000 people displaced.

HRW found no evidence that the targeted sites had any military function, despite Israeli claims they were linked to Hezbollah. Lebanese authorities, UNIFIL peacekeepers and HRW researchers all said there were no military objectives near the struck locations. The group also identified remnants of US-made munitions, including JDAM components, at strike sites.

“Israel is continuing to reshape Gaza through force, entrenching military control and accelerating the erasure of Palestinian civilian life even under the cover of a ceasefire”

Satellite images show that Israeli occupation forces are continuing to demolish Palestinian homes and infrastructure in Gaza despite the ceasefire in place since October 10.

The demolitions are concentrated in areas under Israeli control behind the so-called “yellow line,” particularly in Al-Shuja’iya and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods in Gaza City, as well as in Rafah and agricultural lands east of Deir el-Balah.

Legal experts warn that the destruction of civilian property during a ceasefire violates the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits demolitions by an “occupying power”, as such large-scale destruction cannot be legally justified.

“U.S. groups are seemingly successfully able to determine EU policy on Israel.”

Meet the U.S. donors funding ELNET, the AIPAC of Europe - The Intercept reports.

U.S. donors are channeling millions of dollars into the European Leadership Network (ELNET), a pro-Israel lobbying group modeled on AIPAC, to secure unwavering European political, military, and economic support for Israel amid its ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Since 2022, at least $11 million has flowed into ELNET’s U.S. arm, funding lobbying inside European parliaments, trips for lawmakers to Israel, and campaigns to shield Israel from accountability.

ELNET claims credit for major outcomes, including Germany’s $3.5 billion arms deal with Israel, pushing resolutions affirming Israel’s “right to self-defense,” defunding UNRWA, and promoting definitions of antisemitism that criminalize criticism of Israel.
