Before anyone goes all bananarama on Trump for his plans to attend the Pope’s funeral, it’s not about the Pope. He’s dead and off to be sorted. It’s about supporting the faithful, and it is expected by heads of state.
To skip the funeral would just make Trump seem disingenuous about his faith and give the left and religious right something to bitch about.
JUST IN✈️: A Delta Airlines plane was evacuated on the runway of Orlando Airport after an engine fire.
Delta Flight 1213 was due to leave the Florida airport for Atlanta at 11am ET on Monday when a fire started in the tailpipe of one of the aircraft's two engines.
Flames were spotted coming from the engine of the Airbus A330, forcing crew to deploy emergency slides to passengers could escape.
Passengers were seen using the slides to escape the aircraft in video shot by fellow travelers.
Delta said there were 200 passengers along with 10 flight attendants and two pilots on board.
'We appreciate our customers' cooperation and apologize for the experience,' the airline said.
Orlando Airport said it was working on an active situation and the plane was evacuated.

Police arrested Orgega-Lopez while executing a search warrant on February 28 at the home of Dona Ana County, New Mexico, Magistrate Judge Joel Cano and his wife, Nancy, the Albuquerque Journal reported this week. The report follows a detention hearing where prosecutors claim the illegal alien is a flight risk and an alleged Tren de Aragua gang member.

Garcia and Frost had requested authorization from House Oversight Committee chair James Comer (R-Ky.) but were denied.
The four Democratic lawmakers' office said in a joint statement that their trip "is not being financed by taxpayer dollars."

Justice Samuel Alito has choice words for his high bench colleagues who released a blanket opinion “literally in the middle of the night” on Saturday, ordering the Trump administration to halt the deportation of Venezuelans suspected of being Tren De Aragua gang members from custody in the Northern District of Texas.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem fell victim to a thief while eating dinner at a downtown Washington, DC, restaurant Sunday night, two sources familiar with the incident, including a law enforcement source, told CNN.
The Secret Service, which provides security for Noem, reviewed security camera footage at the restaurant and saw an unknown white male wearing a medical mask steal her bag and leave the restaurant.
The thief got away with Noem’s driver’s license, medication, apartment keys, passport, DHS access badge, makeup bag, blank checks, and about $3,000 in cash, the law enforcement source said.
The Secret Service has launched an investigation to trace any use of Noem’s financial instruments, the person said.

BREAKING‼️: Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum which gathers the world's business and political elite in the Swiss mountain village of Davos every year, has resigned as chair of its board of trustees, the WEF said on Monday.
The Geneva-based institution had announced earlier this month that Schwab, 87, would be stepping down, without indicating a timeframe.
"Following my recent announcement, and as I enter my 88th year, I have decided to step down from the position of Chair and as a member of the Board of Trustees, with immediate effect," Schwab said in a statement released by the WEF.
The WEF board said in the statement that it had accepted Schwab's resignation at an extraordinary meeting held on April 20, and that Vice Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe would become the interim chairman.
A committee to appoint a future chair has been established.
