There’s gonna be lots of theories floating around on this Israeli strike. I expect many will say Trump is working with Israel to soften Iran up to negotiations.
Trump has no history of sanctioning the loss of life to strike a deal. He’s tough; but he is not casual about killing anyone.
We’ll see how it shakes out, but my early take is that Israel saw their window closing. If Trump made a deal with Iran, Israel would lose all justification for war.
They pulled the trigger before they lost the opportunity.
This is likely to get ugly.

The Trump administration had already told Israel it would not participate in any strikes on the nuclear program, Axios reported.
