The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported in 2021 that Iran began producing 60% enriched uranium at Natanz and later at Fordow, with a stockpile exceeding 70 kg by early 2023. If further enriched to 90%, this could suffice for several nuclear warheads.

Iran has been enriching uranium to 60% purity, a level far beyond what is typically required for civilian nuclear energy, which generally uses uranium enriched to 3-5% for power reactors. As of 2025 the IAEA has reported Iran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium is now over 400 kg.
As of June 2025 Iran has completely blown off its obligations under previous treaties, and is no longer cooperating with IAEA inspectors.
On June 12 2025 the 35 nation IAEA council formally declared Iran is in breach, and it can officially give NO ASSURANCES that Iran isn't pushing ahead with the final steps to making a nuclear weapon.
The only international body empowered with the ability to monitor Iran to stop it from building nukes... just threw its hands up THIS MONTH and said it can't promise anything at this point.
