The Battle Creek company posted the commitment on its website Friday, joining major food manufacturers ditching artificial colorants like Red 40 and Yellow 5. This follows failed 2018 promises to remove additives in the U.S. market.
Already, 85% of Kellogg's cereal sales lack artificial dyes, with Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, and some Rice Krispies as holdouts. It had pledged dye-free school cereals by 2026-2027 and no synthetic colors in new products from 2026.
