The Department of Justice made a sweeping request to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence this week for more information about allegations of a 2016 conspiracy to tie President Donald Trump to Russia, marking the next step in the departmentβs grand jury inquiry into the matter.
A DOJ prosecutor asked the ODNI for a range of documents to supplement Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbardβs recent request to the DOJ to investigate Obama administration officials over the alleged conspiracy. The Federalist first reported on the prosecutorβs request. A source familiar with the request confirmed the veracity of the report to Fox News Digital.
The prosecutor requested in a letter to the ODNI a dozen categories of items, including any nonpublic material Gabbard had pertaining to the tranche of declassified documents she made public in July.
Gabbard also revealed Tuesday night on the Ingraham Angle that she had met that day with the DOJ prosecutors involved in the grand jury inquiry. Gabbard said they "have more questions, and theyβre going to be really taking a deep dive into this again."
"They are committed to leaving no stone unturned as they conduct this grand jury investigation and find the truth," Gabbard said.

NEW: A U.S. Army soldier in Texas with a top security clearance has been charged with handing over sensitive information about the military's main battle tank in exchange for Russian citizenship.
Taylor Adam Lee, 22, was arrested Wednesday on charges of attempted transmission of national defense information to a foreign adversary and attempted export of controlled technical data without a license.
Federal prosecutors said Lee attempted to hand over information to someone he believed to be a Russian intelligence officer in exchange for Russian citizenship.Β
Lee was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso where he held a Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance, the Justice Department said.Β
In June, he allegedly transmitted information regarding the M1A2 Abrams tank online and offered assistance to Russia, stating, "the USA is not happy with me for trying to expose their weaknesses."

UPDATE: The suspect was a male soldier
The shooting at the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area was reported at 10:56 a.m. The suspect -- a male soldier, according to a U.S. official -- was apprehended at 11:35 a.m., Fort Stewart said.
No fatalities were reported, a U.S. official said. The soldiers' conditions were not immediately clear, but two of the victims were rushed to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, which is a Level 1 trauma center, hospital officials told ABC News.

NY Times: President Trump intends to meet in person with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia as soon as next week, and he plans to follow up shortly afterward with a meeting between himself, Mr. Putin and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, according to two people familiar with the plan.
Mr. Trump disclosed his plans in a call with European leaders on Wednesday, the people said. The meetings would include only those three men, and would not include any European counterparts. The European leaders, who have tried to play a coordinating role on meetings to end the violence between Russia and Ukraine while supporting their European neighbor, appeared to accept what Mr. Trump said, one of the people familiar with the call said.
It was not immediately clear if Mr. Putin or Mr. Zelensky had agreed to the plan Mr. Trump described. In the spirit of transparency, I want to share what really happened with We The Media.
WTM was born after the Twitter purge, trusted anons united by a mission to share truth. Thanks to their ethics and hard work, WTM became a reliable source of news and commentary.
In 2022, an internal op fractured the group. One cofounder was accused of being Mossad, and amid the chaos, the channel ended up in the hands of Jordan Sather. He was trusted to carry the torch and keep WTM together.
What he did was anything but.
Since taking control of WTM, Jordan has quietly, without cause or consent, removed most of the original team from WTM, including the other remaining co-founder Kate, which he had no right to do.
Heβs continued to keep the channel for personal gain, while exploiting others' work. Most followers probably donβt realize that nearly all the content on WTM for the past year has come from one person who stepped up to help keep it going, not the diverse team of trusted voices it once was. Jordan has used this person quietly doing all the work to keep the channel alive while the original team was pushed out.
Jordan has been asked multiple times to do the right thing and give the channel back to the team so it can be returned to what it once was. He ignores the requests each time.
This is no longer the WTM people once trusted. The original team is now at @WeTheMediaOG until this gets resolved. We hope Jordan will eventually do the right thing.

President Donald Trump is moving forward with plans to add a massive 90,000-square-foot ballroom to the White House, a project he says will be paid for entirely by himself and private donors, in a post where the president also touted that he has donated his paycheck to the White House Historical Association.
